The United States has officially extradited Liridon Masurica, a 33-year-old Kosovo national better known by the alias “blackdb,” for allegedly operating one of the most active illicit credential marketplaces on the web — BlackDB.cc.
According to a formal statement from the U.S. Department of Justice, Masurica now faces a litany of federal charges for his role in trafficking stolen login data, credit card numbers, and personally identifiable information (PII) of thousands of victims — primarily U.S. citizens.
He was arrested by Kosovo authorities in December 2024 during coordinated raids in Pristina and Gjilan, and was extradited to Florida, where he made his initial appearance in a federal courtroom in Tampa this week. He has been ordered held in custody pending trial.
If convicted, Masurica could serve up to 55 years in U.S. federal prison.

The site in question, BlackDB.cc, was not a simple script-kiddie pastebin. It was a purpose-built, multi-service criminal marketplace operational since at least 2018, offering:
- Login credentials for compromised banking and email accounts
- Fullz (complete identity kits including SSNs, DOBs, addresses, and phone numbers)
- Stolen credit card and debit card data
- Tax filing information used for IRS fraud
- Access to compromised accounts at major U.S. retailers and fintech platforms
BlackDB served as a central exchange point for criminals engaged in identity theft, refund scams, stimulus check fraud, and tax return hijacking. Its userbase included fraud rings across Eastern Europe, North Africa, and the U.S., many of which used the marketplace to launder money via prepaid debit cards and crypto mixers.
TRJ analysis suggests the site was closely affiliated with other known marketplaces taken down in recent years, such as Joker’s Stash, Genesis Market, and SSNDOB — all key nodes in the credential theft economy.
The Arrest: More Than Just a Takedown
Kosovo authorities didn’t just arrest Masurica. They also seized:
- Cryptocurrency wallets suspected of laundering criminal proceeds
- Laptops, smartphones, external hard drives, and encrypted USB devices
- SIM cards used for anonymized communication
- Computer towers likely hosting off-site mirror servers of BlackDB
Two additional suspects were detained — one believed to be a system operator (sysop), the other a cryptocurrency funneler handling wallet infrastructure for affiliate payouts. This suggests BlackDB wasn’t a one-man show, but a multi-operator fraud operation with defined backend roles.
Why This Case Matters
The Masurica extradition isn’t just a victory for law enforcement — it’s a message to digital traffickers worldwide: jurisdictional borders are collapsing in the face of international cybercrime.
Historically, actors based in non-extradition countries have treated U.S. victim data like open season — safe in the belief that local enforcement would turn a blind eye or lacked the political pressure to act. That’s changing.
This case follows the 2023 takedowns of Genesis Market (U.S./Europe) and the arrest of multiple SSNDOB admins across Eastern Europe, as Western governments increasingly coordinate with Balkan and Baltic authorities to close in on dark web operators masquerading behind VPNs and crypto layers.
Masurica’s operation also demonstrates how cybercrime infrastructure has evolved — not just targeting major institutions, but weaponizing the everyday credentials of average Americans for scalable, automated fraud.
What Happens Next
Masurica now faces trial in U.S. federal court in Florida — a state with a long prosecutorial history of handling dark web crime due to its proximity to credit fraud hubs and its digital forensics partnerships with federal cybercrime units.
If convicted on all counts, the 33-year-old could serve decades in federal prison, becoming another high-profile reminder that the internet has no safe zone for criminal admins — not anymore.
