“Between What Was and What Still Might Be”
There’s something sacred about looking back— not as a way to return, but as a way to recognize.
Recognize the fire we passed through. Recognize the prayers we whispered that no one else heard.
Recognize the hands of God holding us even when we thought He had let go.
The past didn’t just happen to us. It shaped us. Some of us came through years where everything felt like it was being stripped away— opportunities that dissolved, loved ones who left, stability that collapsed without warning. There were nights we went to sleep numb, and mornings we woke up still tired. But every time we thought it was over, God reminded us: “I’m not done with you.”
Not everyone made it. Some gave up—because the weight was too much. Some gave in—because the cost of standing felt unbearable. And some were taken Home—because their race was finished, even if ours was not. But if you’re reading this, it means you’re still breathing. Still in the fight.
Still tethered to a purpose you may not fully understand yet— but that He absolutely does.
“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles.”
— Psalm 34:17 (NIV)
And if He brought you through it,
then He can bring you into something greater than you’ve ever known.
We’ve tasted betrayal so bitter it left us doubting our own discernment. We’ve walked through relationships that we swore were built on stone, only to realize they were sand in disguise. We’ve watched doors slam shut—jobs lost, homes shaken, bodies weakened. And yet somehow… we’re still here. Not by accident. Not by luck. By grace. Only grace.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.”
— 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)
God doesn’t rescue only when we ask the right way. He rescues because He’s a Father. A Defender of the weary. A Healer of the broken. A Warrior for the faithful.
And Jesus—our Redeemer—stood with us in the fires we didn’t choose. He didn’t just sympathize; He stood in our place. When the nights grew long, when the world stopped making sense,
when prayers became sighs— He was there, whispering, “I’ve been here too… and I’m still with you.”
Now we shift our eyes forward. But we do so with scars. With memory.
With a sharpened awareness that the world we’re walking into is not what it once was.
Technology now imitates humanity while erasing it. Children are raised by screens instead of Scripture.
Truth is treated like malware—flagged, filtered, and deleted. And the world is racing toward something few understand and fewer are prepared for. But we do not panic. We don’t bow. We don’t scatter.
We anchor, we watch. We pray, we speak.
We do not fear the coming days because we know the One who holds them. Our God is not surprised.
Jesus already declared it would come. The Spirit was already preparing the faithful in secret places while the world slept.
“When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on His own; He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come.”
— John 16:13 (NIV)
So what’s next? Justice. Correction. Recompense. Unveiling.
The Kingdom is not behind schedule. It’s moving precisely on time—God’s time. And what’s coming won’t just be survival. It’ll be revival. But not the kind the world controls. Not feel-good fire. Not staged miracles. The kind that brings trembling. That brings repentance. That burns idols and raises voices once silenced. And the scars we carry? They’ll be our testimony. Not of how strong we were—but of how relentless God was in chasing us down.
Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father,
We come before You with both reverence and gratitude. Thank You for bringing us through the deserts we thought would break us. Thank You for every closed door that led us closer to Your will. We praise You for Your mercy, Your timing, and Your unfailing love.
Lord Jesus, You are the anchor in our storm. When we doubted, You remained faithful. When we were weary, You interceded on our behalf. We thank You for the cross, the resurrection, and the victory You freely gave us.
Holy Spirit, continue to fill our hearts with discernment, courage, and conviction. Teach us how to move boldly in these uncertain times. Let us not just survive—but rise as warriors of truth, light, and justice.
We place the future in Your hands, O God. Direct our steps. Shield our minds. Guard our hearts.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ we pray,
Amen.
Scriptures to Stand On This Week:
📖 Isaiah 46:4
📖 John 14:26
📖 Romans 8:18 — “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”
📖 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 — “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair…”
Stay grounded. Stay watching. Stay faithful.

Amen. 🙏🏼 Amen
Amen, John! I can relate to every word you’ve written here. The scriptures you have shared are excellent in pointing out the things you have. It is so true that the difficult times have helped shape us and have reminded us that God is still with us. Only Grace! Amen.

This is so sadly true. At a time when we have more scriptural resources than ever (including “Bible Gateway” that gives us any version of the Bible we want at our fingertips for free), people know less about God than ever.

I couldn’t agree more. At a time when the world seems spinning out of control in certain ways, God’s plan is still in motion and His prophecies will come true.
I see you had another prolific week. I will eventually try to get to some of what you put up this week but I have finished “The DIMMING SHIELD” post and am doing a bit of research on the topic so that my comment doesn’t sound too uneducated.
Thank you for another great post and I hope to be back later this week with some kind of response on “THE DIMMING SHIELD.”
God’s blessings…
You’re welcome, Chris — thank you so much for this thoughtful and powerful response. You nailed it: Only Grace. That’s the truth we stand on. These times are shaking a lot loose, but they’re also sharpening the remnant. What used to break us now shapes us. And like you said, in an age overflowing with biblical resources, there’s never been a greater famine of knowledge about God. That’s not by accident. That’s a strategy — and one we have to keep exposing.
I appreciate you catching that line about the Kingdom’s timing too. It really is moving exactly when and how it’s supposed to. The world may look out of control, but God has never once lost command. The devil would like to think so — but never once. God never lost control.
Also — just added something new to the site: The Dooms-Day Page.
It’s a live monitoring hub we built that includes tools for keeping an eye on the magnetosphere, volcanic activity, solar anomalies, and more. Everything we’re tracking is right there — and on the Space News page as well — all in one place. It’s part of the bigger effort to not just speak truth, but equip people to watch it unfold.
Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on The DIMMING SHIELD whenever you’re ready. Your insights always carry weight. Appreciate you being part of this mission.
God’s blessings right back to you. Stay armored in God’s Word and stay aware. 🙏😎
Thank you, John. I appreciate your comments and I will definitely check out The Dooms-Day Page.
Thank you as well for you kind words and I will definitely try to stay in God’s Word. There is nothing with the power like it to stay armored. Lately, I’ve been reading a sermon from Charles Spurgeon almost daily. He is one of my favorite preachers from the 19th century. His sermons are full of references to scriptures besides the one he generally focuses on.
You’re very welcome, Chris — and I’m glad you’ll be checking out The Dooms-Day Page. I couldn’t agree more about staying in God’s Word — there’s no substitute for it. That armor is real, and it’s needed now more than ever. Charles Spurgeon was one of the best preachers of his time, and I’m sure he still has a huge following to this day. Good preachers are rare these days, and a lot of them lack sincerity. I hope you have a good night and a great week ahead. 😎
What a mighty, MIGHTY prayer, John! Yes!! We stand together.
“Technology now imitates humanity while erasing it. Children are raised by screens instead of Scripture.

We stand together. Arms and hearts intertwined. With faith. With truth. With Omniscience God on our side. We may not know what all challenges lie ahead, but we know how it ends. Blessings to ALL who have the courage and fortitude to stand together!
Thank you so much, Sheila! That means more than you know. Your words echo exactly what we’re fighting for — anchored hearts, unfiltered truth, and the courage to stand when standing costs everything. You’re right… we may not know what all lies ahead, but we know Who goes before us. And we know how it ends. We stand together — Spirit-led, battle-ready. Blessings to you, Richard, and all those walking this path with eyes wide open and faith unshaken. 🙏😎
A great Sunday to you and yours, John!
Thank you very much, Kevin! A great Sunday to you and yours as well — appreciate you being here. 🙏😎
My pleasure, John. I hope your week is off to an excellent start 🙏
