Grandpa’s tales of battles and peace,
Of lessons learned, of sweet release,
He teaches us how to find our own crease,
In the fabric of life, where joys increase.
Their laughter, a melody soft and sweet,
Echoes in halls where old friends meet,
A reminder that life, though fleet,
Is rich in moments, where hearts beat.
Through every wrinkle and silver strand,
Lies the history of a loving hand,
That nurtured the seed, and helped it stand,
In the soil of life, a fertile land.
They’ve seen the seasons come and go,
Watched rivers ebb and mountains grow,
Yet in their eyes, there’s still a glow,
A beacon of love, that we all know.
For every tear they’ve wiped away,
For every word that had to stay,
Unspoken in the light of day,
We honor them in every way.
Their patience, an endless, gentle stream,
Their wisdom, like a distant dream,
Yet in their love, we find the theme,
Of life’s grand, eternal scheme.
So here’s to grandmas and grandpas dear,
Who’ve faced the world without fear,
In their embrace, we find the sphere,
Of love that’s true, that’s ever near.
Let’s cherish them, in every way,
In the morning’s light, and end of day,
For in their love, we find our stay,
