The sky was clear, or so it seemed,
A distant rumble, just a dream.
Ignored the winds that whispered low,
The signs were there, but hard to show.
The clouds began to twist and churn,
Yet still, you felt no need to learn.
You shrugged it off, “It’s far away,”
Another calm, another day.
But shadows crept, and winds grew cold,
Warnings whispered, soft and bold.
The birds took flight, the trees bent low,
Yet still, you acted like you didn’t know.
The thunder cracked, a distant cry,
But you were busy living by.
You thought the storm was someone’s fight,
Not knowing it would strike that night.
The leaves took flight, the rain poured down,
A tempest wearing a savage crown.
But comfort held you, warm inside,
Too blind to see the rising tide.
Then came the roar that shook the earth,
The winds that twisted life and worth.
The sky turned black, the world shook sore—
The storm was knocking at your door.
The windows rattled, the walls bent in,
Nowhere to hide, no way to win.
Too late to heed the signs ignored,
The storm now claimed the life it stored.
You held your breath and braced for more,
As rain lashed fiercely at the door.
The darkness swallowed all you knew,
It didn’t care for what was true.
You thought you had the time to wait,
But storms don’t pause for those who hesitate.
It came, relentless, to your shore—
Now it’s pounding at your back door.
Each gust a lesson, each flash a tear,
The cost of thinking it wouldn’t near.
The waves, the wind, the crashing rain,
A storm that’s come to teach you pain.
The price of waiting is always steep,
For those who slumber, those who sleep.
The storm has come to even the score,
And now it stands at your back door.

Never mess with Mother Nature and her storms 😆
Haha, absolutely not! And let’s not forget about the other storms out there—both worldly and beyond. Thank you very much, Laura! 😎
Yep!! I caught that part, most definitely
