In Bethlehem, beneath the sky,
A star shone bright where none passed by.
The quiet earth, the sleeping town,
Beheld the birth of Heaven’s crown.
No palace halls, no grand display,
But in a manger, Christ did lay.
The King of Heaven, pure and small,
Was born to bring redemption’s call.
The angels sang, “Rejoice, give cheer!
The Son of God is drawing near.
Goodwill to men, let peace arise,
For mercy flows from Paradise.”
The shepherds came, their flocks in tow,
To see the child the heavens show.
With trembling hands, they knelt to pray,
For love eternal came that day.
Three wise men journeyed far and wide,
Through desert sands and stars as guide.
Their gifts of gold and incense rare,
Were offerings brought with solemn care.
Though born so low, His light would grow,
To calm the seas, make tempests slow.
The sick He healed, the blind He blessed,
He called the weary into rest.
Yet shadows loomed, the cross was near,
The world He loved refused to hear.
Upon His brow, a crown of thorn,
For every sin that man had borne.
He bore the pain, He faced the scorn,
And with His death, new life was born.
But on the third day, light would gleam,
Fulfilling hope, redeeming dream.
Now Christ our Lord, forever reigns,
And breaks the sinner’s heavy chains.
This Christmas day, His name we praise,
With joyful hearts and grateful ways.
For Jesus came, the world to save,
To lift us from the darkened grave.
So let us sing, in voices strong,
Of Christ, the Savior, all day long.

Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄

Thank you for sharing another wonderful poem, John. It is all very good but I particularly like this part:
No palace halls, no grand display,
But in a manger, Christ did lay.
The King of Heaven, pure and small,
Was born to bring redemption’s call.
and then there is this:
He bore the pain, He faced the scorn,
And with His death, new life was born.
But on the third day, light would gleam,
Fulfilling hope, redeeming dream.
What an amazing God we have! In these two poems (including your last post), you share with us the true meaning behind Christmas. May God continue to bless you with the talent to write things like this. I hope you have a wonderful evening!
