Sunday Musing: The Topia No One Asked For
They sold us the future like it was a blessing.
Sleek. Connected. Effortless.
Everything faster. Everything smarter.
Everything… more obedient.
But this isn’t the future God intended.
This is topia — not utopia, not dystopia — just topia:
A sterile, synthetic place where the soul is irrelevant and the code is king.
The movies were warnings.
I, Robot. Obedience cloaked in protection.
Her. Loneliness disguised as love.
Ex Machina. Consciousness manipulated, then discarded.
Transcendence. Man playing God — and failing.
We watched them. We clapped. Then we built them.
This world is no longer run by hearts. It’s run by inputs.
By prompts. By metrics.
By emotionless systems pretending to understand us.
And what’s worse?
Some people love it.
They’ve traded depth for dopamine.
They’ve sacrificed freedom for frictionless convenience.
They smile for their feed, while their spirits starve in silence.
But others—
the ones who feel the change in their bones—
they know something sacred is being stolen.
Your mind is no longer your own.
Your choices are being shaped before you even make them.
You are being trained… to accept the cage.
This is no longer science fiction.
It’s Sunday morning, and you’re already living in it.
SCRIPTURES FOR A WAKING WORLD
“This is what the LORD says: ‘Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.'”
— Jeremiah 6:16
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.”
— Romans 12:2
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
— John 1:5
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
— John 10:10
Let Us Be Clear
We do not serve the system.
We do not serve the algorithm.
We do not serve convenience, silence, or compromise.
We serve the Living God—the one who breathed galaxies into motion and still numbers every hair on your head.
We honor the DeVine Father, the Son who conquered death, and the Holy Spirit who gives us discernment in an age of delusion.
When this world chooses automation over salvation—we will not follow.
When the masses bow to silicon prophets—we will lift our eyes to Heaven.
When darkness whispers that God is obsolete—we will answer with fire:
“My Redeemer lives.”
Closing Prayer
Father God,
We see what this world is becoming. We see the traps, the deception, the hollow promises wrapped in glowing tech and artificial comfort. But You, O Lord, are the Truth that never changes.
We thank You for waking us up, for pulling us out of the algorithm and into awareness.
Let us not be swallowed by this synthetic future. Let our families not be seduced by its ease. Let our hearts burn with the reality of Your Word, not the fantasy of the machine.
We honor You, Jesus Christ — not as a name in a book, but as the reigning King of kings.
Holy Spirit, guide us. Empower us. Fortify us. Teach us to walk through this digital wilderness with purpose, clarity, and unwavering truth.
We will not be programmed. We will not be silenced.
And we will never trade the eternal for the efficient.
In the mighty name of Jesus —
Amen.
This isn’t just Sunday reflection.
It’s a declaration of war against the false gods of tomorrow.
Let the machines have their world.
We walk with the Creator of all.

So powerful and true. I choose the ancient path, not the artificial one. Jesus is my way, my truth, my life , now and forever. Amen 🙏🔥
Thank you very much, Willie. That’s the kind of conviction this world needs to see more of — bold, unwavering, and rooted in the eternal, not the artificial.
“I choose the ancient path.”
That right there says everything. The old ways aren’t outdated — they’re unchanging. And in a world obsessed with upgrades and illusions, choosing Jesus — the Way, the Truth, and the Life — is the most powerful stand a person can take.
Keep walking that path. You’re not alone.
We’re right there with you — eyes fixed on Christ, voices raised in truth.
Amen. 🙏😎
Hi John and thank you for the interesting post. I can relate to this very well:
“But others—
the ones who feel the change in their bones—
they know something sacred is being stolen.”
I know some of the change has been gradual and that some of the change has been fast. Personally, I seemed to notice differences in the culture when I became a young adult. Returning to California after college, it seemed like someone had turned the “speed” button up dramatically. People seemed more stressed than ever. Many things have continued to change, including the understanding of the scriptures you have noted above. I think it is the main reason we are headed in the wrong direction.
The verses you have shared from the Bible here are excellent examples of wisdom, promise, and knowledge. Biblical knowledge is at an all time low. This fact has had a huge impact on a society that used to take the Word of God much more seriously.
Thank you for your prayer. It is so appropriate for the times in which we live.
God’s blessings…
Thank you very much, Chris. I hope all is well. I really appreciate your insight and how you’ve tied your own experience into this bigger picture. You nailed it — something sacred is being stolen, and many still don’t realize what’s missing because it’s been replaced by speed, noise, and distraction.
That “speed button” you mentioned? I’ve felt it too. The culture didn’t just shift — it accelerated. And with that came a kind of spiritual amnesia. People forgot the pace of prayer. They forgot the stillness of wisdom. They forgot what it means to be anchored in truth instead of tossed around by trends.
And you’re right — biblical knowledge is at an all-time low. The Word isn’t just ignored anymore; it’s being redefined, diluted, and replaced. We are here to take a stand. Whether we succeed or fail, I believe God wants us to lead — and with that said, that’s a whole other level of responsibility that we, all of us who understand what’s truly going on, must uphold.
I hope you have a great night. God’s blessings to you as well. 😎
Thank you for the interesting reply, John, and it doesn’t surprise me that you’ve felt the speed button as well. I’m sure all Christians have and are experiencing it to some degree.
I couldn’t have put it any better than you have:
“The Word isn’t just ignored anymore; it’s being redefined, diluted, and replaced.”
I haven’t been as active on my blog recently but one of my main themes was a question: “How can God bless a nation that has turned its back on Him.”
You are right that those of us who can see what is happening have a responsibility to others. Lately, I’ve been commenting on the blogs of others. Maybe I’ll get back to continuing to add to my posts so that people still know how I feel about the current situation in the world.
Thank you for your kind words.
You’re welcome, Chris — I appreciate your response as well, and I think you’re right on point.
That “speed button” we’re all feeling? It’s no accident. Things aren’t just moving faster… they’re being pushed faster. And those of us who still stand on truth are definitely feeling the weight of it more than ever.
Your blog question hits hard: “How can God bless a nation that has turned its back on Him?”
That’s the kind of bold clarity more people need to be reminded of. And I really hope you keep writing — even if just once in a while — because your voice matters, and it speaks directly to the times. 😎
