This Sunday, as we gather our thoughts and look back on the week behind us, there is something different in the air — a stillness, a calm, a sense that the storms of life took a step back. The burdens that usually weigh so heavily seemed lighter. The challenges that often loom like mountains somehow felt smaller.
And it wasn’t because of luck or coincidence. No, it was because our Heavenly Father, in His mercy and grace, carried us through another week.
Every smooth moment, every small victory, every quiet breath of peace — it all came from God. Let there be no doubt or hesitation in saying that aloud. We give full glory to God the Father, to our Savior Jesus Christ, and to the Holy Spirit, who has walked with us every step.
“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” — Lamentations 3:22-23 (KJV)
This week also marked a personal celebration for us here — the successful release of Ink & Fire: Book Two. Available now on Amazon in Kindle, paperback, and hardcover, this release went smoothly, just like the books before it — without setback or struggle. And I say that lightly, because nothing ever comes that easily for us — we know better. And we know why: because God’s hand was upon it.
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights.” — James 1:17 (KJV)
Then came the Fourth of July, where we paused as a nation to reflect on freedom. But freedom isn’t something we can afford to take lightly. It isn’t just a word on paper or a parade down Main Street. It’s sacred — a gift entrusted to us by God Himself. It’s something bought with sacrifice, guarded by courage, and preserved through prayer. We must remember that freedom isn’t guaranteed; it must be protected, honored, and passed down, generation after generation, with humility and gratitude. And as long as we walk with God — with our Divine Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit guiding us — we can remain a nation that cherishes liberty not just in word, but in truth.
And above all, we must remember that true freedom isn’t granted by governments or secured by flags — it was won at the cross of Christ. Only through Him do we find the freedom that lasts forever.
“Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” — 2 Corinthians 3:17 (KJV)
“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” — John 8:36 (KJV)
We praise God for the earthly freedom we enjoy here, but we praise Him even more for the eternal freedom found only through Jesus Christ. May that freedom continue to endure for generations to come — and may we, as a people, never forget that freedom requires both vigilance and humility before God.
We lift high the names of:
- God the Father — the Creator of Heaven and Earth.
- Jesus Christ — the Lamb of God, the Risen King, and our Eternal Deliverer.
- The Holy Spirit — our Comforter, Counselor, and ever-present help in this journey of life.
“Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation.” — Psalm 68:19 (KJV)
This entire week has been nothing short of a testament to God’s goodness. We witnessed peace, progress, and purpose — all wrapped in His mercy.
Quick Reflection Before We Close:
Let’s not rush past this moment. Let’s stand still in awe.
God has been faithful.
God has been merciful.
God has provided, protected, and guided.
He has kept His promises yet again.
Closing Prayer of Praise and Petition:
Heavenly Father, Lord of Glory, and Giver of Every Good Gift,
We kneel before You today, lifting up our hearts in deep gratitude. Thank You, Lord, for carrying us through another week. Thank You for the victories, the peace, and the moments of quiet assurance that only You can provide.
Thank You, Lord, for the smooth release of Ink & Fire: Book Two and for every book that came before it. Thank You for every reader it will touch and for the purpose You have already prepared to fulfill through its pages. May each word serve Your will and bring light to those who need it most.
Thank You for the freedom we celebrate in this land — and even more so for the freedom we have in Your Son, Jesus Christ. Let us never take either for granted.
We praise You, Lord:
For Your love that never fails.
For Your mercy that covers every sin.
For Your grace that keeps lifting us higher.
We ask that You continue to guide us this week ahead. Strengthen our hearts, guard our homes, bless our work, and lead us ever closer to You.
We give You all honor, all praise, and all glory — forever and ever.
In the Precious and Holy Name of Jesus Christ,
Amen.
