Through Storms, Trials, and Grace — God Always Strengthens
It’s been a week of motion, chaos, and unexpected turns — the kind of week that reminds us how fragile the systems around us really are, and how quickly life can throw a punch. When that lightning tore through the sky and cracked into our wires, it wasn’t just a flash — it was a test. Power lines snapped, breakers blew, and for a moment, everything we’ve built felt like it was hanging by a thread.
But God has a way of turning even the disruption into design. Now, each of our systems runs on its own breaker, its own line of power. Stronger. Safer. Better. That’s the kind of refining that trials bring. What looked like a setback was actually a strengthening. Scripture reminds us:
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” (James 1:2–3)
The storm slowed us down for a moment, yes — but it didn’t stop us. We kept swinging. And I’ll be honest, there are days I’d rather be ducking than taking blows. It’s not always fun to be beat down by forces you can’t even see, but I’ve learned this truth: when God is for us, nothing formed against us can stand.
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord.” (Isaiah 54:17)
And out of the ashes of that storm came a victory I didn’t expect: being nominated for Spillwords Author of the Month. To me, that’s not just a recognition — it’s a reminder. A reminder that even if I can’t change the entire world — which is hard for one person to do anyway — I can still leave my mark. I can leave my voice, my signature, my art, my testimony. And God, in His perfect timing, has a way of amplifying what He wants heard, even if the world doesn’t yet understand it.
It reminds me of 1 Corinthians 15:58:
“Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”
None of it is wasted. Not a single word, not a single article, not a single poem, not a single reflection. What He breathes into existence carries purpose far beyond what we can see.
“So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:11)
To those of you who hear me through the clutter, through the noise, through the deceiving voices that crowd this age — thank you. Thank you for trusting me, for trusting what I write, for trusting the honesty in my words. In a world filled with deception, you chose to listen. That means more than I can say.
And more than anything, I lift up gratitude to my Father in Heaven. To Jesus Christ, the King who laid His life down so that we could stand forgiven. To the Holy Spirit, who moves unseen yet guides each step of the way. Without them, none of this means anything. With them, every word, every trial, every flame of resistance becomes purpose.
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.” (Psalm 28:7)
So today I rest not in the applause of men but in the presence of God. If I am honored, let Him be glorified. If my voice is heard, let it carry truth. If my words endure, let them point to Him. Because in the end, it is not I who writes — it is He who gives breath, inspiration, and the will to speak.
Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father,
We thank You for this week of trials and victories. Thank You for keeping us through the storm and turning weakness into strength. Thank You for every opportunity to share words that reflect truth, light, and the power of Your name.
Lord Jesus, we honor You as the cornerstone, the Savior, and the Word made flesh. Holy Spirit, we ask You to continue guiding us, giving discernment, and shielding us from deception.
May every word written, every voice lifted, and every heart that listens be touched by Your presence. Protect us, refine us, and use us to stand boldly for truth in a world that tries to silence it.
In Jesus’ mighty name we pray,
Amen.
