The working theory is consistent with the roadway environment, available lighting conditions at the time, and the absence of an immediate emergency call reporting a crash in the area.

At approximately 6:00 p.m. on January 15, Boone was reported missing from her neighborhood in Coalmine, Arizona, located within the Navajo Nation. She had been playing nearby late that afternoon and was walking home shortly before sunset. Law enforcement believes the fatal incident occurred within a narrow time window between 5:50 p.m. and 6:20 p.m. along Cedar Loop Road.

Her body was discovered the following morning at approximately 8:30 a.m. on January 16 in a field within the Coalmine Navajo Housing Authority neighborhood. The overnight gap between the estimated time of impact and discovery has intensified efforts to identify vehicles that may have traveled through the area during that 30-minute window.

Investigators are focusing on:

• Vehicles traveling on Cedar Loop Road between 5:50 p.m. and 6:20 p.m.
