MIDLAND, Texas — The FBI and multiple partner agencies have expanded victim assistance and recovery services following the June 12 shooting on West Wall Street in Midland that left one person dead and ten others injured.
Federal officials said FBI victim specialists are actively working with victims, family members, and others affected by the incident to provide support, resources, and guidance during the recovery process.
The shooting remains under investigation by local authorities, with federal agencies continuing to assist where requested. In the days following the attack, officials have shifted part of their focus toward helping those impacted by the violence access services and recover personal belongings left at the scene.
To support victims and their families, the FBI has launched a dedicated online resource through its Virtual Community Resiliency Center. The site provides information about available assistance programs, victim services, counseling resources, and recovery support options.
In addition, a Community Resiliency Center has been established in Midland to provide in-person assistance to victims and family members.

The facility opened on June 15 and is expected to remain operational for at least two weeks. Operating hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Central Time.
Officials said individuals visiting the center may receive assistance with accessing support services and may also request the recovery of personal property and vehicles left behind at the shooting scene.
The FBI Victim Services Division is working alongside local organizations and community partners to provide assistance. PermiaCare personnel are supporting those affected by the incident, while the American Red Cross is offering mental health services and spiritual care resources for victims, family members, and others impacted by the tragedy.
Community Resiliency Centers are commonly established following mass casualty incidents, acts of violence, and other traumatic events. These centers are designed to bring together law enforcement, victim advocates, mental health professionals, nonprofit organizations, and recovery specialists in a single location where victims can access multiple forms of assistance.
Federal officials emphasized that recovery from traumatic events often extends well beyond the initial emergency response and that long-term support remains an important part of helping victims and communities heal.
The FBI continues to encourage anyone affected by the Midland shooting to utilize available resources and seek assistance as needed during the recovery process.
