FBI OFFERS $25,000 REWARD FOR INFORMATION IN MARGARET HADDICAN-MCENROE 20-YEAR COLD CASE

SOMERSET COUNTY, N.J. — The FBI’s Newark Field Office is renewing its appeal for information in the disappearance of Margaret Haddican-McEnroe, who vanished from her Warren Township residence nearly 20 years ago.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance.

Haddican-McEnroe was last seen at her residence on October 10, 2006. Her whereabouts remain unknown, and federal investigators are asking anyone with information, regardless of how insignificant it may appear, to contact law enforcement.

Haddican-McEnroe would now be 48 years old. She is described as a white female with brown hair and brown eyes, standing approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing about 110 pounds.

When she was last seen, Haddican-McEnroe was wearing a black battle dress uniform jacket, a gray Army sweatshirt with black lettering, white checkered pajama pants, white socks and white Nike sneakers.

She was also wearing a silver chain with dog tags and a white wedding ring containing three diamonds. Investigators said she has several tattoos on her stomach and back, along with a tattoo of a firefighter’s helmet on her calf.

Haddican-McEnroe may have been carrying a black bag containing additional clothing when she disappeared. She also uses her birth name, Sherwood Haley.

The FBI’s renewed appeal does not identify a suspect, announce an arrest or disclose a new theory concerning what happened to Haddican-McEnroe. The reward is directed toward obtaining information capable of advancing the case and establishing accountability for anyone involved in her disappearance.

Investigators are asking members of the public to consider whether they saw Haddican-McEnroe around the time she disappeared, observed unusual activity near her Warren Township residence or possess information concerning her movements, relationships or personal belongings.

People should not assume that investigators already possess the information they know. A detail discussed privately, passed through family members or withheld because of uncertainty may still hold value when compared with the full investigative record.

The FBI’s reward is available for information leading to both the arrest and conviction of those responsible. Eligibility and payment remain subject to the conditions established by the FBI.

Anyone with information regarding the disappearance of Margaret Haddican-McEnroe is asked to call the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI.

Information may also be provided to the Somerset County Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1-888-577-TIPS. Online tips can be submitted through the official FBI tip portal or the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office website.

The FBI has not disclosed what caused Haddican-McEnroe to disappear or what evidence supports the possibility that other individuals were involved. Until investigators establish what happened, the case remains an unresolved disappearance under active federal attention.

Nearly 20 years have passed since Haddican-McEnroe was last seen, but the renewed reward provides another opportunity for someone with knowledge of the case to come forward.
