FBI Offers $50,000 Reward for Capital Murder Suspect Hector Vicente Paguada Paguada

Dallas, Texas — August 11, 2026 — The FBI is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Hector Vicente Paguada Paguada, a capital murder suspect wanted in connection with the 2024 killings of two women in Irving, Texas.

FBI Dallas Special Agent in Charge R. Joseph Rothrock and Irving Police Chief Derick Miller announced the reward and renewed public appeal to locate Paguada Paguada on Tuesday.

Authorities allege that Paguada Paguada shot and killed two adult women on January 19, 2024. The shooting occurred in front of the 5-year-old son of one of the victims.

The victims’ names were not included in the FBI’s announcement. Authorities also did not disclose the relationship between Paguada Paguada and the women, identify a suspected motive or provide additional details concerning the circumstances surrounding the homicides.

Investigators determined that Paguada Paguada left the United States after the killings with assistance from other individuals. The FBI has not identified those individuals or disclosed whether anyone has been charged with helping him evade law enforcement.

Paguada Paguada has ties to Honduras, and investigators believe he is currently located there. The FBI has not identified a specific city or region where he may be staying.

He is known to have used several aliases, including Hector Antonio Matute, Hector Paguada Pagoada, Alejandro De Jesus Muniz Cruz and Hector Martinez.

The use of multiple identities can complicate efforts to locate a fugitive, particularly when investigators believe that person has crossed an international border. Public recognition of each alias may help identify records, communications or personal contacts connected to his location.

A state arrest warrant was issued for Paguada Paguada in Dallas County on January 24, 2024, after he was charged with capital murder.

A federal arrest warrant was issued in the Northern District of Texas on February 29, 2024, after Paguada Paguada was charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

The state capital murder charge concerns the two homicides in Irving. The federal unlawful-flight charge gives federal authorities jurisdiction to pursue him for allegedly leaving the area to avoid the state prosecution.

The federal charge does not replace the capital murder case. If Paguada Paguada is captured, the state and federal proceedings will remain subject to decisions by the courts and prosecuting authorities responsible for each charge.

Rothrock said the FBI is asking anyone with knowledge of Paguada Paguada’s whereabouts to contact the bureau. The reward is available for information that leads to both his arrest and conviction.

A reward of up to $50,000 is not automatically paid for every tip. Eligibility and the amount awarded depend upon the value of the information and whether it satisfies the conditions established by the FBI.

Miller said the victims’ families have waited more than two years for justice and that the Irving Police Department remains committed to locating Paguada Paguada.

He urged anyone with information to come forward, emphasizing that a single tip could help authorities find the fugitive and advance the criminal case.

The FBI Dallas Field Office is conducting the fugitive investigation. The Irving Police Department and Dallas County District Attorney’s Office are responsible for the homicide investigation.

That division of responsibilities allows federal investigators to focus on locating and apprehending Paguada Paguada while local authorities continue developing the capital murder case.

The FBI’s belief that Paguada Paguada is in Honduras creates an international component to the search. His location outside the United States would require coordination among American authorities, foreign law enforcement and other government agencies before he could be returned to face the pending charges.

The FBI has not announced whether Paguada Paguada possesses citizenship or legal status in Honduras, whether formal extradition proceedings have begun or whether investigators have confirmed a recent sighting.

Authorities have also not disclosed whether he should be considered armed and dangerous. Members of the public should not approach or attempt to detain him.

Tips can remain anonymous, and information provided to the FBI will be treated confidentially. Wanted posters are available in English and Spanish to expand public awareness of the search in the United States and abroad.

The capital murder and unlawful-flight charges remain allegations. Hector Vicente Paguada Paguada is presumed innocent unless and until prosecutors prove his guilt beyond a reasonable doubt in court.
