In the quiet of a dimming day,
Where shadows dance and soft lights play,
A figure lies in silent repose,
Amidst the calm, a tranquil doze.
The world outside may rush and roar,
But here, inside, peace guards the door.
A gentle chest, rises and falls,
In sync with night’s tender calls.
Oh, how the heart swells with delight,
At such a serene, calming sight.
Yet, in the joy, a twinge of blue,
For moments like these are far too few.
The silent whispers of a dream,
Flow like a placid, unseen stream.
A smile, a frown, flit o’er the face,
In that quiet, secluded place.
Happiness in the stillness found,
Where not a single troubling sound,
Can pierce the veil of this sweet scene,
A tableau pure, almost serene.
But sadness, too, in knowing this,
That time will steal away the bliss.
The dawn will come, the spell will break,
And from this dream, one must awake.
For now, I’ll savor the quiet grace,
In moments shared in this gentle place.
A silent ode to the joy and pain,
Of cherished times that will not wane.
So let me hold this moment dear,
A memory to always revere.
In happiness and sadness twined,
A beauty in the quiet, I find.
