In the dead of night, when time stands still,
A creeping chill begins to spill,
Across the floor, beneath the bed,
A silent scream that fills with dread.
The walls, they groan, the ceiling creaks,
The shadows shift as darkness speaks,
A whisper in the thickened air,
You’re not alone—you feel its stare.
The wind outside, a ghostly moan,
Yet deep inside, you’re not alone.
You hear it now, a scratching sound,
Like claws that crawl beneath the ground.
You tell yourself it’s just a dream,
A trick of light, a thought extreme,
But then the silence grows so loud,
A booming echo, ghostly shroud.
Beneath the door, a flicker bright,
A sliver of unnatural light,
It pulses slow, a heartbeat cold,
A fear you never could withhold.
The shadows twist into a grin,
The darkness seeps beneath your skin,
It fills your lungs, it stops your breath,
A quiet, slow, encroaching death.
A figure looms within the gloom,
It fills the air, it fills the room,
Its eyes, they burn with searing fire,
A creature born from pure desire.
But no one speaks, no one can see,
This thing that’s come for only thee,
It plays with time, it warps the mind,
A terror undefined, confined.
You reach to scream, but no sound leaves,
Your chest, it tightens as it heaves,
For in this place, this haunted keep,
You are the prey it means to reap.
The silence now, it shrieks so loud,
It drowns the world in spectral cloud,
The figure grows, its tendrils near,
Feeding on your rising fear.
And now it speaks, though lips don’t move,
Its voice, a twisted, darkened groove,
“Your mind is mine,” it whispers low,
“And with it, all the fear you sow.”
You try to run, but where’s the door?
The walls have melted to the floor.
The room, a shifting, endless void,
A nightmare you cannot avoid.
It grips your heart, it stills the beat,
The chill it brings, so cold, so sweet.
And as the silence claims its prey,
You know you’ll never see the day.
For in the dark, the silence reigns,
And with it come the phantom chains,
That bind the soul, that crush the mind,
A fate from which you’re left entwined.

Very creepy and chilling! Definitely had that feeling of wanting to “get out!” But then the floors and walls melting together 😱 haha 😆 good one!
Thank you so much, Laura! I’m glad that feeling of needing to escape came through—definitely wanted to create that sense of panic and dread! And yeah, the melting floors and walls were meant to blur reality, making it all the more unsettling. Really appreciate your feedback. 😎
Anytime! It was really good 😊 hope you have a great day
