A breath we take, so free, so light,
Yet some must struggle through the night.
For lungs that ache and strive for air,
This month we show we deeply care.
For every soul who bravely fights,
Who battles on through endless nights,
We raise awareness, spread the word,
So every story might be heard.
The white ribbon worn, a symbol strong,
For lives impacted, struggles long.
For hope and strength, we lift our voice,
For research, for a better choice.
In memory of those we’ve lost,
And all who bear this heavy cost,
We wear this ribbon, bright and clear,
To show each soul we hold so dear.
We join with those in struggle’s hold,
With strength and love, both fierce and bold.
For every breath and every fight,
We spread awareness, hold the light.
The road ahead is long, we know,
But step by step, we help it grow.
For treatments found and cures to come,
For those who fight, and those who’ve won.
So this month let us all unite,
And make each breath a hopeful sight.
For lungs that heal, for lives anew,
We raise our voices, strong and true.
Lung Cancer Awareness Month spans the entire month, dedicated to increasing awareness, providing support to those affected by lung cancer, and advocating for crucial research and early detection. Through education, outreach, and community support, this observance aims to bring attention to the importance of lung health and encourages proactive approaches to diagnosis and treatment. The month serves as a reminder of the strength and resilience of those impacted by lung cancer and the ongoing efforts to find better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.

Thank you John for this awareness. I started smoking at the age of 26 and gave it up at the age of 29. That was 50 years ago and it was boredom that turned me to cigarettes.
Thank you so much for sharing your story it’s inspiring to hear how you overcame the habit and have stayed smokefree for so many years boredom can definitely lead us down paths we don’t expect but it takes real strength to recognize and make a change like you did I appreciate your input and support. I hope you have a great night! 😎
