I guess I’m not as worried as many seem to be. My take is that 155 million people voted in 2020, and though there were cases of similar glitches, the overwhelming majority of votes were proven valid. For a comparison, 95% of Amazon deliveries arrive on time, yet there are still 5% issues. Does Amazon work diligently to improve that ratio…absolutely, and so do countless of polling volunteers and professionals across the country. I feel that my vote is secure, and though I agree with you that we should be diligent, we should also feel confidant that my vote is being registered accurately and securely.
Thank you for your comment, Chuckster! There are a lot of counties that are pretty legit—I trust the county I’m in as well, and they have an ID requirement. But unfortunately, some counties do cheat, and there is plenty of proof. Even just one county cheating makes me feel the election lacks integrity. Imagine if both candidates are very close to winning, and one of those cheating counties is the last to be counted. How would we know who truly won? Then, years later, it’s revealed that that county cheated. Both parties have claimed cheating in the past. We need a different system, and it starts with going back to paper ballots and implementing serious security.
