In fields afar, they stood their ground,
With courage fierce, no fear they found.
Through storms of fire and skies of lead,
They forged a path where others dread.
For freedom’s cause, they bore the fight,
Against the dark, they brought the light.
They left behind the lives they knew,
To serve a flag of red, white, blue.
The skies they crossed, the seas they sailed,
Through deserts vast, their strength prevailed.
From mountain heights to forest deep,
They fought for those they swore to keep.
In honor strong and valor bright,
They held their ground through day and night.
Their stories brave, we proudly tell,
Of those who stood where soldiers fell.
To each who served, who stood so tall,
In battles fought at duty’s call,
We bow our heads, our hearts we lend,
In thanks for all, our steadfast friend.
O veterans, heroes bold and true,
Today we lift our praise to you.
Your sacrifice, your steadfast way,
We honor now, on this great day.
And though your fight may now be done,
Your courage shines, like morning sun.
For every battle fought and won,
Our deepest thanks to you we send,
Our gratitude, without an end.
