As we close another week and prepare for a new one, we take time to reflect—on our actions, our thoughts, and the world around us. Each passing day brings new challenges, but for those who walk in faith, we know we are not alone. Our Divine Father, God Almighty, watches over us, His Son, Jesus Christ, leads us in truth, and the Holy Spirit strengthens our resolve to stand firm in righteousness.
This past week may have brought trials, moments of uncertainty, or even feelings of exhaustion. But through it all, God remained faithful. He carried us when we were weak, whispered wisdom when we sought guidance, and reminded us that He is in control, no matter how chaotic the world may seem.
A Warning Against the False Prophet
Yet, as we reflect, we must also remain vigilant. The world today is filled with deception, and Scripture warns us of false prophets who will rise in the last days, seeking to lead even the faithful astray.
“For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.”
— Matthew 24:24
These deceivers come dressed as angels of light, their words honeyed and their promises grand. They twist the truth, blending righteousness with corruption, so that the lines between right and wrong blur. They lead people away from God’s Word, replacing His commands with their own, just as the enemy has done since the beginning.
Yet, we are not without guidance. God has given us His Word as a lamp unto our feet, His Son as our salvation, and His Spirit as our discerner of truth. We must test every spirit, weighing their words against Scripture, so that we do not fall into deception.
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.”
— 1 John 4:1
Praise to Our Divine Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit
In times of uncertainty, we turn to the One who never changes.
Father God, You are the Alpha and Omega, the Rock of Ages, the Author of all that is good. You formed the heavens and spoke light into the void. Your justice is perfect, and Your mercy endures forever.
Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, You bore the weight of our sin so that we may walk in freedom. You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no one comes to the Father except through You. We praise You for Your sacrifice, for Your unwavering love, and for Your victory over death.
Holy Spirit, our Helper and Comforter, You dwell within us, guiding us in all truth. You are the fire that refines, the whisper that convicts, the peace that surpasses understanding. Fill us anew with wisdom and discernment, that we may stand strong against the schemes of the enemy.
Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, thanking You for carrying us through another week. In a world of deception, You alone are our truth, our foundation, and our refuge.
Lord, we ask for discernment in the days ahead. Let us not be swayed by false prophets or deceived by empty words, but instead let our eyes be fixed on You. Strengthen our faith, that we may boldly stand for righteousness, even when the world rejects it.
Jesus, be our guide and protector, our shield and salvation. Holy Spirit, dwell within us, leading us in truth, correcting our hearts, and setting our paths straight.
We surrender this coming week to You, trusting that You go before us, making the crooked paths straight, and filling our days with purpose and peace.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Amen, John. The words of Matthew 24 are filled with mystery and truth. One thing is certain. There will be a great tribulation preceded (and led) by the false prophet(s) you’ve mentioned here. How sad it is to see so many false prophets in America today. We must pray for discernment to identify the wolves that would sneak in to kill the flock.
Thank you for this excellent post.
Amen, Chris! Matthew 24 truly lays out both the mystery and the undeniable reality of what’s to come. The rise of false prophets is one of the clearest warnings, yet so many still fail to see it. It is heartbreaking to witness deception spreading so freely, even in places that once stood for truth. But as you said, we must pray for discernment—now more than ever—so we do not fall prey to the wolves in disguise.
I appreciate your words and your faithfulness in standing for truth. May God bless you and keep you strong in His wisdom! 🙏😎
Thank you for your encouragement, John, and your good comment. May God bless you and your blog and all who come to read it!
You’re very welcome, Chris! And thanks again. 😎
Let us not be led astray, but stand firm in the truth of God’s Word. In times of deception, He is our guide and protector. May we seek His wisdom and discernment, testing every spirit, for He is the Truth that never fails. 🙏
Amen, Willie! Well said. In a world filled with deception, we must stay rooted in God’s Word, for He is the unshakable foundation of truth. His wisdom and discernment are our greatest defenses against those who seek to lead us astray. May we always test every spirit and stand firm in faith, knowing that He never fails. Appreciate your comment—I hope you have a great night! 🙏😎
This is why I am now a ‘spiritual anarchist’ and have sworn off all organized religion. While many religions might have come from God, they have all been corrupted one way or another by the failings of humans.
I hear you, Michael, and you’re not wrong. Religion has been rewritten, misinterpreted, and corrupted—not just by those in power, but by human failings in general. That’s something we’ve explored in several of our articles because, while many religions may have originated from God, human influence has often reshaped them over time.
I understand why you’ve taken the stance of a ‘spiritual anarchist.’ I also stay away from organized religion because I’ve seen how institutions can distort faith for control. But for me, that doesn’t change my belief in God, Jesus Christ, and the truth that remains beyond man-made structures. Separating divine truth from human alterations is the real challenge.
Appreciate your comment—it’s a conversation worth having. I hope you have a great day! 😎
