As we stand on the precipice of history, watching the world unravel before our eyes, one truth remains undeniable—we are living in perilous times, but also prophetic times. The world is shifting beneath our feet. Morality is crumbling, deception reigns, and the forces of darkness are working harder than ever to blind, corrupt, and control.
There is war and rumor of war, nation rising against nation, famine, pestilence, earthquakes, and an undeniable spiritual battle raging in the unseen. People are growing colder, more self-absorbed, and detached from truth. Right is being called wrong, and wrong is being celebrated. We see it, we feel it, and if we are truly awake, we know exactly what this means.
This is not random. This is the fulfillment of prophecy.
The Birth Pangs Foretold in Scripture
The Bible warned us of these times—not to create fear, but to prepare us. We are in the birth pangs, just as Jesus said.
🔹 Matthew 24:6-8 – “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.”
🔹 Luke 21:25-26 – “There will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.”
🔹 2 Timothy 3:1-5 – “But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—having a form of godliness but denying its power.”
Sound familiar? This is our world today.
Faith Over Fear: The Call to Vigilance and Trust
Yet, we are not called to fear—we are called to stand.
Even in uncertain times, God is in control. Even when the world descends into chaos, He is unshaken. Even when darkness spreads, His light cannot be extinguished. We are here for such a time as this. Not to hide, not to despair, but to be vigilant, faithful, and bold in truth.
🔹 Isaiah 41:10 – “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”
🔹 John 16:33 – “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
🔹 Psalm 46:1-2 – “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea.”
Praising the Divine Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
Today, we do not focus on the darkness—we fix our eyes on the light.
Glory be to our Almighty Father, the Creator of Heaven and Earth.
Praise be to Jesus Christ, our Savior, our Redeemer, our coming King.
We give thanks for the Holy Spirit, our Comforter, our Guide, our Strength in these times.
No matter what happens in this world, we are victorious in Christ. The world may tremble, but we stand firm on the Rock.
Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, humbled and in awe of Your power, mercy, and love. As the world falls deeper into deception and chaos, we choose to stand in truth, faith, and vigilance. We see the signs You warned us about, and while the world may fear, we trust in You completely.
Lord Jesus, You are the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. No matter how dark the days may become, we know You have already won the victory. Strengthen us in these times. Make us bold in truth, steadfast in faith, and unshaken by the schemes of the enemy.
Holy Spirit, guide us. Help us to discern deception, to walk in wisdom, and to never grow weary in doing what is right. May we be a light in the darkness, a voice of truth in the storm, and a testament to Your unbreakable kingdom.
We pray for the lost, for those deceived, for those trapped in fear. Open their eyes, Lord. Let them see Your truth before it is too late.
We ask for divine protection over Your people, Your remnant, Your warriors of faith. Keep us covered, keep us strong, and remind us always: You are with us until the very end.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray, Amen.
Final Thought:
We are here, now, for a reason. God placed us in this generation, in this moment, to be His hands and feet in a world falling apart. Let us not waste it. Let us be bold, unwavering, and unafraid.
“Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.” – 1 Corinthians 16:13
Stay vigilant. Stay faithful. Stay unshaken.
Amen.

Thank you for another excellent post, John.
My Bible study group is now in its fourth week of looking at Matthew chapter 24, a chapter you quote more than once above. It is important for all to be familiar with scriptures like the ones in Matthew 24 so that we can be on the alert.
Verse 42 says: “Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming.” We don’t know the day but we can watch for the signs mentioned in more than one place in the Bible.
The verses you have shared about faith over fear are so important.
Amen to this:
“No matter what happens in this world, we are victorious in Christ. The world may tremble, but we stand firm on the Rock.”
And Amen to your prayer, John.
May God bless your efforts in alerting people to the truths in God’s Word!
Thank you very much, Chris. That’s powerful, and I truly appreciate you sharing that. Matthew 24 is such a critical chapter, especially in these times, and you’re absolutely right—while we don’t know the exact day, the signs are all around us. The Bible has given us everything we need to be watchful, discerning, and prepared.
Faith over fear is key, now more than ever. No matter how much darkness rises in the world, we stand firm in Christ, knowing that He has already won the victory.
God bless you and your Bible study group. Keep spreading the truth and standing strong in faith! 😎
Thank you for your encouragement, John. He has won the victory for us, Praise the Lord.
You’re welcome, Chris! Amen! The victory has already been won—Praise the Lord! No matter how chaotic the world gets, we stand on that unshakable truth. His plan is in motion, and nothing can stop it. 😎
Amen, John!
I hate saying this…but I avoid the news now like the plague…church is even more important now to me.
I hear you, Max! It’s hard to watch the news these days—it’s a constant cycle of fear, division, and manipulation. They push narratives designed to keep people stressed, angry, or hopeless. Stepping away from all that is sometimes the best thing you can do for your peace of mind.
And you’re absolutely right—church, faith, and staying grounded in God’s truth are more important now than ever. When the world feels like it’s falling apart, that’s where we find real strength, clarity, and purpose.
God bless you and yours. 🙏😎
Great post, John. A good reminder that everything is not random chaos, but there is a plan and the outcome has already been set. Makes day to day living…along with not watching TV… much more enjoyable. But there’s also a need for boldness. As someone once said: “Preach the Gospel. Use words if necessary.” 😎
Thank you very much, Darryl! You’re absolutely right—nothing is random, and the plan is already written. Knowing that gives us clarity, peace, and the strength to stay focused. And yes, avoiding the mainstream distractions definitely helps!
But I also agree—boldness is needed now more than ever. We can’t just sit back and watch; we have to stand firm, live the truth, and let our actions speak louder than words. That quote is spot on!
Thanks for the support, Darryl. I hope you have a great night! 😎
