Beneath the veil where shadows gleam,
Lies more than just the waking dream.
A world untold, yet intertwined,
A fate unseen, yet predesigned.
The echoes call from realms unknown,
Where time is twisted, space is sown.
Each fleeting thought, a tethered thread,
Binding past to what’s ahead.
We walk the paths both dim and bright,
Bound by chains of wrong and right.
Yet in the cracks of all we know,
Another truth begins to show.
A flicker here, a whisper there,
A mirrored step, a vacant stare.
Are we the ones who shape the reel,
Or trapped inside what we reveal?
The hands that guide, the strings that pull,
Make fiction sharp, and fable full.
Yet somewhere past this fleeting haze,
Lies something real beyond the maze.
A world unseen, yet just as near,
Where dreams take form, and thought is clear.
A silent force behind the veil,
That shifts the wind and tips the scale.
We chase the stars, we chase the past,
Yet both are slipping far too fast.
But in the rift where few may see,
Lies all we are, and all we’ll be.
So tell me now—what do you see?
A world that’s bound, or breaking free?
For all we hold and all we chase,
Might shift when viewed from time and space.

Thanks for another compelling poem, John. I think the world is currently bound but that it will eventually break free when our Lord and Savior comes again. Believers can live in the world but not of it so they are still bound by the old nature to some degree but free in ways that unbelievers don’t understand. I wish for all to come to the grace and knowledge of the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Thank you very much, Chris! I appreciate your thoughtful words. I agree—the world feels bound now, but true freedom will come. Well said, and I share that same wish! I hope you have a great day. 🙏😎
Wonderful and thought-provoking Poetry.
