The Claim
Category: Cybercrime / Data Privacy / Dark Web
Features: Alleged MyHomemadePorn leak, bcrypt hash irregularities, extortion risks, fake-leak tactics
Delivery Method: Data leak forum post, researcher analysis, open-source investigation
Threat Actor: Unknown — forum actor with reputation for leaks
Attackers this week announced that they had compromised MyHomemadePorn, an amateur adult content platform, and published what they claimed was a user database on one of the internet’s most notorious data leak forums. The forum itself has long served as a distribution hub for stolen personal details, recycled breach data, and extortion-ready records, so the appearance of such a dataset there immediately amplified the claim and gave it a veneer of credibility.
According to the threat actor, the dataset contained a mix of highly sensitive personal identifiers, including:
- Usernames
- Email addresses
- IP addresses
- Dates of birth
- Gender and relationship status markers
- Hashed passwords
The leak was not posted with restraint or responsibility — quite the opposite. The actor explicitly encouraged others to weaponize the data, urging fellow forum members to use the information as leverage to blackmail site users. This appeal, whether backed by real records or fabricated data, dramatically raised the stakes by threatening to expose individuals whose privacy is already vulnerable simply by their association with an adult-content platform. The reputational harm in such a scenario, even before technical validation of the leak, can often prove more damaging than the breach itself.
The Doubt
While the claim set off alarms, researchers at Cybernews found signs of fabrication. Their analysis showed multiple records contained identical bcrypt password hashes — something that should not happen under normal circumstances, because bcrypt automatically generates a unique salt each time a password is hashed.
This suggested two possibilities:
- The dataset was artificially generated and not linked to real users.
- It was test data from inside the platform itself, leaked either deliberately or carelessly.
Either way, the technical irregularities cast doubt on whether the alleged leak reflected actual users.
The Context of Fake Leaks
Faked or manipulated leaks are not uncommon in cybercrime forums. Actors sometimes:
- Release artificial datasets to build reputation among peers.
- Recycle old breach data under a new label to bait newcomers.
- Plant fake leaks for attention or disruption rather than profit.
In this case, the actor who posted the alleged MyHomemadePorn dataset already carried a longstanding reputation in the forum community, which complicates the picture. Established actors risk credibility if they repeatedly share fabricated data, which is why some researchers still treat the claim cautiously.
Notably, the attackers did not demand payment for the dataset — an unusual choice that suggests motives beyond profit, possibly status-building or simply provoking chaos.
The Risk Regardless
Whether the dataset is real or fake, the implications are serious:
- Adult content platforms carry heightened risk because exposure can lead to harassment, blackmail, or doxxing.
- The claimed inclusion of emails and IP addresses would provide enough material for targeted intimidation campaigns.
- Even if fabricated, the leak plants fear and distrust among users, potentially damaging the platform’s reputation and its customers’ sense of privacy.
Some records in the dataset showed visible dates of birth and IP addresses, though only in very small numbers, which raised questions about consistency. Other fields such as gender and relationship status were represented only as numeric IDs with no clear explanation of what those values meant. That ambiguity, combined with the irregular formatting, strongly suggested the dataset may have been manipulated or artificially generated rather than pulled directly from live user accounts.
TRJ Verdict
The alleged breach of MyHomemadePorn may turn out to be a manufactured spectacle rather than a genuine compromise, but the danger is real in either scenario. For victims, the fear of exposure can be weaponized just as effectively as an actual leak. For platforms, the reputational fallout of being named on a data leak forum can linger long after the facts are clarified.
In the economy of cybercrime, perception is power — and sometimes, a fake leak can damage trust as effectively as a real one.

Like you, I can see the potential for blackmail here. It makes me glad I don’t go on any amateur porn sites.
You’re absolutely right, Michael — that’s the core of the risk here. Even the rumor of a leak tied to adult platforms is enough to create blackmail potential, because attackers know many victims would rather pay or stay silent than risk exposure. It’s a harsh reminder that these kinds of sites, by their very nature, carry an outsized reputational risk compared to other platforms.
I’m glad you don’t visit them either — in cases like this, avoiding the target surface is the best defense. Thanks very much for weighing in, Michael — always greatly appreciated. I hope you have a great day ahead. 😎
