Federal authorities have charged an Albany, New York man in a child exploitation case that investigators say intersects with a broader, ideologically driven online extremist network known as 764, a group described by law enforcement as combining child sexual abuse, extreme violence propaganda, and nihilistic accelerationist ideology.

Aaron Corey, also known online as “Baggeth,” appeared in federal court this week after being charged with receiving child sexual abuse material (CSAM) over the internet. The charge stems from an investigation alleging that between October and December 2025, Corey knowingly received image and video files depicting pre-pubescent minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

According to the criminal complaint, federal investigators identified Corey as an alleged participant in the 764 network, a loosely organized but highly dangerous online ecosystem that targets minors through social platforms, private messaging channels, and encrypted communications. Authorities allege that members of the network intentionally expose vulnerable youth to extreme gore, graphic violence, and child sexual abuse material as a method of psychological desensitization, grooming, and radicalization.

Investigators describe 764 not as a conventional terrorist organization with a centralized hierarchy, but as a distributed, ideology-driven network that glorifies chaos, cruelty, and social breakdown. Within these spaces, exploitation is not incidental — it is a core mechanism used to exert control, gain status among peers, and normalize increasingly severe forms of abuse and violence.

Federal officials state that participants in the network frequently seek notoriety by escalating the severity of content they share or consume, creating a feedback loop where abuse, shock value, and ideological reinforcement intersect. In this context, the receipt and circulation of CSAM is alleged to function both as criminal conduct and as a tool of indoctrination.

Corey’s initial appearance took place in Albany before U.S. Magistrate Judge Daniel J. Stewart of the Northern District of New York. He was ordered detained pending a detention hearing, with prosecutors citing the seriousness of the charges, the alleged extremist affiliation, and the risk factors associated with online exploitation cases involving minors.

The charge carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in federal prison, with a maximum exposure of 20 years, a potential $250,000 fine, and a term of supervised release ranging from five years to life. Any sentence, if a conviction occurs, will be determined by a judge after consideration of the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and statutory factors.

The investigation is being led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, with assistance from the New York State Police.
