SIXTEEN PITTSBURGH RESIDENTS INDICTED IN FEDERAL COCAINE TRAFFICKING CONSPIRACY

PITTSBURGH — Sixteen Pittsburgh residents have been indicted on federal charges accusing them of participating in a cocaine trafficking conspiracy that allegedly operated across the city for approximately eight months.

The one-count federal indictment was unsealed following the defendants’ arrests on Thursday, July 23, 2026, U.S. Attorney Troy Rivetti announced. The defendants are charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute cocaine base, commonly known as crack cocaine, along with mixtures and substances containing cocaine.

Federal prosecutors allege that the conspiracy operated from approximately November 2025 through July 2026. The indictment assigns specific drug quantities to each defendant based on the amount prosecutors contend was attributable to that person through the alleged conspiracy.

DeConta Harrison, 48, is identified as the lead defendant and is accused of participating in a conspiracy involving at least 280 grams of crack cocaine and an additional quantity of cocaine. The larger quantity attributed to Harrison places him within the highest statutory penalty range identified in the case.

The remaining defendants are each accused of participating in the same conspiracy involving at least 28 grams of crack cocaine. Several are also accused of responsibility for additional quantities of cocaine.

The defendants and the quantities attributed to them in the indictment are:

• DeConta Harrison, 48 — 280 grams or more of cocaine base and a quantity of cocaine
• Jozef Bozeman, 47 — 28 grams or more of cocaine base
• Charles Brannon, 54 — 28 grams or more of cocaine base and a quantity of cocaine
• Rashaan Campbell, 45 — 28 grams or more of cocaine base
• Bobby Chatman, 65 — 28 grams or more of cocaine base and a quantity of cocaine
• Harold Jones Sr., 65 — 28 grams or more of cocaine base
• William Jones, 45 — 28 grams or more of cocaine base and a quantity of cocaine
• Alonzo Kidd, 50 — 28 grams or more of cocaine base and a quantity of cocaine
• Greg Nash, 65 — 28 grams or more of cocaine base
• Jeff O’Keefe, 35 — 28 grams or more of cocaine base and a quantity of cocaine
• Keith Payne, 50 — 28 grams or more of cocaine base
• Brandon Rodgers, 41 — 28 grams or more of cocaine base
• John Malcolm Smith, 44 — 28 grams or more of cocaine base and a quantity of cocaine
• Tyisha Somerville, 32 — 28 grams or more of cocaine base and a quantity of cocaine
• Kyrie Weston, 39 — 28 grams or more of cocaine base
• Deshawn Williams, 44 — 28 grams or more of cocaine base and a quantity of cocaine

The conspiracy charge allows prosecutors to seek accountability for drug quantities allegedly distributed or possessed as part of the coordinated operation, subject to the government proving each defendant’s participation and the amount legally attributable to that individual.

If convicted, Harrison faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years and a maximum sentence of life in federal prison, a fine of up to $10 million, or both.

Each of the other defendants faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years and a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison, a fine of up to $5 million, or both, if convicted.

Those statutory ranges do not establish the sentences that would automatically be imposed. Any sentence would be determined by a federal judge after considering the offense, the amount of controlled substances attributable to the defendant, any applicable sentencing enhancements or reductions, the defendant’s criminal history, the federal Sentencing Guidelines and other factors required by law.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jonathan D. Lusty is prosecuting the case on behalf of the federal government.

The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police and the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office. The involvement of federal, city and county authorities reflects the coordinated law-enforcement effort used to investigate the alleged trafficking operation and bring the case before a federal grand jury.

The indictment is an accusation and does not constitute evidence of guilt. DeConta Harrison, Jozef Bozeman, Charles Brannon, Rashaan Campbell, Bobby Chatman, Harold Jones Sr., William Jones, Alonzo Kidd, Greg Nash, Jeff O’Keefe, Keith Payne, Brandon Rodgers, John Malcolm Smith, Tyisha Somerville, Kyrie Weston and Deshawn Williams are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
