WILMINGTON, Mass. — Semiconductor manufacturer Analog Devices has disclosed that an unauthorized party accessed certain company systems and removed files during a cybersecurity incident first detected on June 23, 2026.
Analog Devices reported the incident in a Form 8-K filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on July 29.
After discovering the unauthorized access, the company activated its incident-response procedures and retained outside cybersecurity specialists to assist with containment and investigative work. Analog Devices also notified law-enforcement authorities and began coordinating with them.
The company said its operations remained uninterrupted throughout the incident.
An internal investigation confirmed that certain files were exfiltrated from the affected systems. The company has not publicly identified the files, disclosed the amount of information removed, or determined the complete scope of the compromised data.
“To the Company’s knowledge, the data has not been publicly released or used for fraudulent purposes,” Analog Devices stated in its regulatory filing.
The company said it will continue monitoring for signs that the stolen information has been released or misused. It also plans to notify affected individuals, organizations, and regulators when required under applicable law.
Based on the information currently available and the containment and mitigation measures already taken, Analog Devices does not believe the June incident is reasonably likely to materially affect its business, operations, or financial condition.
Analog Devices has not publicly attributed the June breach to a named threat actor, ransomware organization, or foreign government. The SEC disclosure also does not state whether the unauthorized party encrypted systems, issued a ransom demand, or attempted to extort the company.
The filing separately revealed that Analog Devices became aware of public reports concerning another cybersecurity matter on July 26.
The company described the second matter as “separately and unrelated” to the unauthorized access detected on June 23. Analog Devices is assessing the validity, scope, and potential impact of the July matter.
No additional technical information about the second matter was disclosed. The company has not confirmed that the public claims associated with it are accurate.
Analog Devices warned that the final findings could differ from its current assessment as investigators continue examining the incidents. Potential risks identified by the company include unauthorized disclosure of company or third-party data, fraudulent use of stolen information, operational effects, regulatory inquiries, litigation, reputational damage, remediation expenses, and disruption to relationships with customers, employees, regulators, and other stakeholders.
The company also acknowledged that responding to the incidents could divert management attention and generate additional legal, financial, investigative, and security costs.
Analog Devices is a major semiconductor manufacturer headquartered in Wilmington, Massachusetts. The company develops analog, mixed-signal, and digital signal-processing technologies used to convert, interpret, and process real-world information.
Its technology serves industrial, automotive, communications, and consumer markets, placing the company within supply chains supporting factory systems, vehicles, communications infrastructure, electronic equipment, and other technology platforms.
Analog Devices reported approximately $11 billion in revenue for fiscal 2025, an increase of 17% from the previous fiscal year.
The company’s disclosure confirms that data left affected systems during the June breach, but several central questions remain unresolved. Analog Devices has not identified the attacker, specified the categories of information involved, disclosed how the systems were accessed, or announced how many individuals or organizations could be affected.
