SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — The FBI San Juan Field Office will host its first large-scale immersive FBI Career Experience on Friday, July 31, providing prospective applicants with a behind-the-scenes look at careers within the Bureau as public interest in the event continues to exceed expectations.
According to the FBI, more than 400 individuals have registered to participate in what officials describe as the first event of its kind for the San Juan Field Office. The program is designed to give attendees an opportunity to explore career paths, learn about FBI hiring requirements, and interact directly with Bureau personnel responsible for recruitment and professional development.
The event will begin with opening remarks from members of the FBI’s executive leadership before participants rotate through a series of interactive career stations highlighting various positions within the Bureau. Officials said the hands-on format is intended to provide a realistic overview of daily responsibilities, qualifications, and expectations for a wide range of FBI careers.
In addition to learning about career opportunities, attendees will have access to FBI Human Resources specialists, who will provide guidance on the federal hiring process, explain current employment opportunities, and assist eligible applicants with submitting applications during the event.
The FBI has expanded community outreach and recruitment efforts in recent years as the Bureau works to attract candidates with diverse educational backgrounds, technical expertise, language skills, investigative experience, and specialized professional training. Career opportunities extend well beyond the role of Special Agent and include intelligence analysts, forensic accountants, cybersecurity specialists, linguists, information technology professionals, professional support personnel, and other mission-critical positions.
Following the opening presentation, members of the news media will have an opportunity to speak with Special Agent in Charge Carlos R. Goris, Assistant Special Agent in Charge Claudia Dubravetz, and Acting Assistant Special Agent in Charge Juan Carlos López regarding the event, recruitment initiatives, and the Bureau’s workforce development efforts.
The FBI Career Experience is scheduled to begin at 8:45 a.m. at Coliseíto Pedrín Zorrilla in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Programs such as this can strengthen public understanding of the Bureau’s mission while helping prospective applicants better understand the qualifications, responsibilities, and commitment required to pursue careers within the FBI.
