Patterson Woman Sentenced to 16 Years for Producing Child Sexual Abuse Material

WAYCROSS, Ga. — A Pierce County woman has been sentenced to 16 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to producing sexually explicit images of a child for electronic distribution.

U.S. District Court Judge Lisa Godbey Wood sentenced Brandy Marie Gill, 43, of Patterson, Georgia, to 192 months in prison followed by 10 years of supervised release.

Gill pleaded guilty to production of visual depictions of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct. Her conviction involved the creation of child sexual abuse material rather than possession of material produced by another offender.

Court documents and testimony established that Gill persuaded a minor to participate in sexually explicit conduct in August 2025 for the purpose of producing material intended for electronic distribution.

Federal authorities did not disclose the child’s age, relationship to Gill or other identifying information.

The 192-month sentence is equivalent to 16 years. There is no parole in the federal system, meaning Gill must serve the federal sentence subject only to credits permitted by law.

After leaving prison, Gill will begin a 10-year term of supervised release. Federal supervision can include court-ordered restrictions and compliance requirements intended to monitor a defendant after incarceration.

Judge Wood also ordered Gill to pay $5,000 to the Amy, Vicky, and Andy Child Pornography Victim Assistance Fund. The payment is separate from her prison sentence and supervised-release term.

Gill will be required to register as a sex offender following her conviction. Registration creates continuing reporting obligations after release and is separate from federal supervision.

Margaret E. “Meg” Heap, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Georgia, announced the sentence and emphasized that child sexual abuse material documents the exploitation of an actual victim.

Every newly produced image can create an enduring record of abuse that may be copied and distributed beyond the control of the child depicted. The production offense addresses the original exploitation used to create that material.

The FBI and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit investigated the case.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Sherri A. Stephan and Brad Thompson prosecuted the case for the Southern District of Georgia.
