FEDERAL INMATE CONVICTED OF SOLICITING MURDER OF PRISON OFFICIALS

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A federal inmate has been convicted on all eight counts in a case involving letters seeking the assault, torture, and murder of multiple federal law enforcement officers in exchange for payments of up to $50,000.

Aramis Stuckman, 39, who has ties to New Jersey, was found guilty following a two-day federal trial in Corpus Christi.

The jury deliberated for approximately one hour before returning guilty verdicts on every count charged against him.

According to evidence presented at trial, Stuckman was incarcerated at the Three Rivers Federal Correctional Institution in October 2024 when he wrote three separate letters seeking violent attacks against multiple officers.

The letters called for the assault, torture, and murder of federal law enforcement personnel and offered payments reaching as high as $50,000 in exchange for carrying out the crimes.

Prosecutors presented evidence showing that Stuckman passed the letters to three different correctional officers.

The jury also heard evidence that Stuckman threatened one of the guards, warning that the officer would become the next victim if he turned the letter over to authorities.

The defense challenged the government’s case by arguing that Stuckman had not written the letters himself and did not possess the resources necessary to carry out the solicitations.

The jury rejected those arguments and convicted Stuckman on all eight counts.

U.S. District Judge Nelva Gonzales-Ramos presided over the trial and scheduled sentencing for December 1, 2026.

Stuckman faces substantial additional federal prison exposure.

For each count involving solicitation of murder, he faces up to 20 years in federal prison.

Each count involving solicitation of assault carries a potential sentence of up to 10 years, while the charge involving threats against a law enforcement officer also carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in federal prison.

He may also face a possible $250,000 maximum fine.

Stuckman remains in federal custody and will remain detained pending sentencing.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted the investigation with assistance from the Special Investigative Services of the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Ashley Martin and Tyler Foster are prosecuting the case for the Southern District of Texas.

A federal jury found Stuckman guilty beyond a reasonable doubt on all eight counts arising from the letters, the murder and assault solicitations, and the threat directed toward a correctional officer.

His sentencing on December 1 will determine the additional prison term imposed for the convictions.
