CONEHATTA MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO TRANSPORTING MINOR FROM OKLAHOMA TO MISSISSIPPI FOR SEXUAL ACTIVITY

JACKSON, Miss. — A 22-year-old Conehatta man has pleaded guilty in federal court to transporting a minor across state lines with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.

Taterrian Tyron Anderson entered the guilty plea on September 23, 2026, in the Southern District of Mississippi.

According to court documents, Anderson transported the minor from her home in Oklahoma to his residence in the Conehatta Community of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians Reservation.

Federal prosecutors said Anderson’s purpose in transporting the minor was to have sex with her. The guilty plea follows a federal grand jury indictment returned in October 2025.

Anderson has now admitted criminal responsibility for transporting the minor with the intent to engage in sexual activity, moving the case beyond the allegation stage and into sentencing.

Anderson faces a minimum of 10 years in federal prison and a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.

His sentencing is scheduled for January 2027.

The final sentence will be determined by a federal district judge after consideration of the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory sentencing factors.

The case involved coordination among law-enforcement agencies in both Oklahoma and Mississippi.

Investigators included the Choctaw Police Department, Oklahoma City Police Department, City of Union Police Department, and FBI personnel operating in Oklahoma and Mississippi.

That multi-state involvement reflects the nature of the offense, which began in Oklahoma and ended in the Conehatta Community in Mississippi.

The case also involves conduct that ended within the Conehatta Community of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians Reservation.

Federal prosecutors did not provide additional details in the September 24 announcement concerning the minor’s age, the circumstances surrounding the transportation, the means by which Anderson came into contact with the victim, or the precise timeline between the transportation and the federal investigation.

U.S. Attorney Baxter Kruger of the Southern District of Mississippi and Robert Eikhoff, Acting Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Jackson Office, announced the guilty plea.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Kevin J. Payne and Brian K. Burns, along with Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Kalleigh McCoy, prosecuted the case.

What is already established is that Anderson admitted transporting a minor from Oklahoma to Mississippi for the purpose of engaging in criminal sexual activity and now faces no less than a decade in federal prison, with the possibility of a life sentence.
