FBI OMAHA SEEKS POTENTIAL VICTIMS IN FINANCIAL FRAUD INVESTIGATION INVOLVING TRAVEL SERVICES

OMAHA, Neb. — The FBI Omaha Field Office is seeking to identify potential victims in an ongoing financial fraud investigation involving Connie Seastedt and a travel-related business identified as Captivating Travels by Connie.

According to the FBI, investigators believe individuals who sought travel-planning services through the business may have been affected.

Those services included arrangements for domestic and international travel, including resort bookings. The FBI said it believes Seastedt used clients’ credit card information to commit fraud. The suspected activity is believed to have occurred between June 2024 and August 2026.

Although the business activity was centered in the Omaha, Nebraska area, the FBI believes potential victims may be located across the United States.

That broader reach is significant because travel-planning businesses can work with customers remotely, allowing transactions to take place without a client being physically located near the business.

At this stage, the Bureau is seeking additional information from people who believe they may have been affected.

The investigation centers on the alleged misuse of financial information provided by clients in connection with travel services. Travel agencies and independent travel planners commonly receive payment information while arranging airfare, lodging, resorts, transportation, and other services.

When customers provide credit card information for those purposes, that information is expected to be used only for authorized transactions connected to the requested travel arrangements.

The FBI is asking anyone who believes they were victimized or has relevant information concerning Captivating Travels by Connie to complete the Bureau’s victim information form.

The Bureau is also asking potential victims to provide supporting documentation by email after completing the form. Supporting records can help document the timing and financial impact of disputed transactions and give investigators material to compare across potential victim reports.

The FBI has also asked anyone who knows another person who may have been affected to encourage that individual to provide information.

Participation is voluntary.

The Bureau said responses may assist investigators in identifying additional potential victims and developing the federal investigation. Individuals who submit information may later be contacted by the FBI for additional details.

The FBI states that the identities of victims will be kept confidential. Potential victims may also qualify for certain rights and services under federal or state law.

The Bureau’s current objective is to identify individuals who may have sustained losses and gather documentation capable of establishing the scope of the suspected fraud.

Financial fraud investigations can depend heavily on transaction records because investigators must distinguish authorized purchases from disputed charges and determine whether multiple transactions share common accounts, payment methods, dates, or recipients.

Those records can also help establish whether activity involving separate victims forms part of a broader pattern.

The investigation remains active.

The Bureau is seeking potential victims and information, making this an investigative-stage case rather than a completed prosecution.

Anyone who believes they used Captivating Travels by Connie between June 2024 and August 2026 and may have experienced unauthorized financial activity is being encouraged by the FBI to provide information and supporting documentation through the Bureau’s established victim-reporting process.

The FBI Omaha Field Office continues working to determine the full scope of the suspected activity and identify anyone who may have been affected.
