In the Triangle’s grip, where the sea meets the sky,
Poe’s spirit did venture, with a curious eye,
Aboard the Abyss’s Herald, into the abyss,
Where the world is amiss, and the serpents hiss.
The sails were set high, ‘gainst the gale’s fierce roar,
As the ship sliced the waves, toward the unknown shore,
The compass spun wild, in the Triangle’s trance,
And the ocean’s deep secrets lured Poe to dance.
With quill poised and ready, he wrote of the dread,
Of the voices that whispered among the sea’s dead,
The mist it did thicken, like a curtain of night,
Hiding horrors untold from the mortal’s sight.
The crew, they stood silent, their eyes filled with fear,
As the Triangle’s magic drew ever near,
And Poe, in his genius, felt the muse’s call,
To pen a tale of terror, that would enthrall.
The Abyss’s Herald trembled, as if alive,
Her timbers did creak, her mast did strive,
Against the forces unseen, that pulled her down,
Into the depths where the lost souls drown.
Poe wrote of a vortex, a portal of time,
Where past, present, and future unceasingly rhyme,
And the Abyss’s Herald was caught in its flow,
With her crew and her captain, and Poe, in tow.
They saw things unspoken, that no man should see,
In the Triangle’s heart, where the truth runs free,
Of ships long vanished, and planes gone astray,
And the creatures that lurk, where the mermaids play.
For days or for moments, the ship was adrift,
In a world that was shifting, and starting to shift,
Until the Triangle’s grip, at last, did release,
And the Abyss’s Herald sailed back in peace.
Poe’s tale was complete, a narrative spun,
Of a journey most dire, under the vanished sun,
A voyage through the Triangle, dark and profound,
Where the mysteries of the deep, forever abound.
