In the beginning, a canvas pure and white,
Was shadowed by our sins, blocking out the light.
Born into a world where wrong seems right,
We wandered in the dark, yearning for the sight.
Yet, in this shadowed land where we did roam,
A divine promise whispered of a way back home.
For the Father above, in His throne so high,
Sent His only Son, through love, to die.
Jesus, our Savior, with arms open wide,
Embraced our flaws, for us He was crucified.
Upon that rugged cross, our debts He paid,
With every drop of blood, our foundation laid.
The Holy Spirit then, like a dove so mild,
Descended upon us, God’s reconciled child.
In whispers and in winds, in fire and in might,
Guiding us gently back into the light.
Now forgiven, we stand, our sins washed clean,
By the waters of grace, in a stream unseen.
No longer bound by the chains of night,
We’re free to live, to love, to fight the good fight.
So let us walk forth, in His love so vast,
Remembering our sins, now shadows of the past.
For we are all sinners, but forgiven we stand,
By the grace of our Father, in His holy land.
Come, all ye weary, burdened, and worn,
To the foot of the cross, where hope is reborn.
For the love of the Father, so deep and so wide,
Is calling us home, to be by His side.
Let this poem be a testament, a beacon, a sign,
Of the divine forgiveness, forever divine.
For we were all born sinners, but in mercy, we bask,
Embraced by our Fatherβthis is our task.

Wonderful work here, John! There is nothing more important than so much of what you’ve included here. It is all excellent but I particularly like this part:
“For the Father above, in His throne so high,
Sent His only Son, through love, to die.
Jesus, our Savior, with arms open wide,
Embraced our flaws, for us He was crucified.
Upon that rugged cross, our debts He paid,
With every drop of blood, our foundation laid.”
And speaking of foundations, these truths you mention are foundations of the Gospel message to the world.
Thank you for sharing.
God’s blessings…
