Beneath the velvet cloak of night,
The sky ignites with gleaming light,
A whisper soft, a cosmic thread,
Where hues of green, purple, and red.
They waltz and weave in endless grace,
Across the stars, they leave no trace,
Yet hearts below, they softly seize,
With wonder carried by the breeze.
Their colors ripple through the dark,
Like waves of magic, bright and stark,
They shimmer, sway, and then they bend,
As if the heavens start to mend.
From icy realms, their light descends,
A northern glow the dark defends,
Where ancient whispers tell the tale,
Of spirits dancing in the veil.
The frozen lands beneath their spell,
In silence, watch as stories swell,
For every flicker, every gleam,
Becomes a fragment of a dream.
The colors twist, then split, then bloom,
A palette vast to pierce the gloom,
They sway in time, a hidden song,
That pulls the soul and hums along.
The reds and purples twine and churn,
Like embers in the sky that burn,
While greens and blues in rivers pour,
To kiss the distant Arctic shore.
They vanish then in fleeting flight,
A moment’s breath, a quick delight,
But echoes linger in the air,
A silent song that’s always there.
For in the dark where shadows creep,
The Auroras guard the stars in sleep,
And when the night is cold and still,
They rise once more above the hill.
So if you find yourself below,
A sky alight with fiery glow,
Let wonder fill your beating heart,
As you and heaven’s dance depart.
In swirling strokes of vivid light,
The Auroras paint the endless night,
And though their dance is brief and true,
Their magic stays inside of you.

Beautiful!
Thank you very much, luisa! 😎

Gracias por tus palabras. Me alegra que te haya gustado. 😎
Beautiful! It’s my dream to see the northern lights! Is that your photo?
Thank you very much, Laura! The northern lights are awesome when you can actually see them. And yes, the photos are mine—I took them last night. The Auroras were very strong, quite the experience. In the post before that, called Space Flares and Auroras, I posted a few more photos of the Auroras. Hopefully, you get the chance to see them one day. Here’s an app that you can use; it will let you know if the Auroras are in your area. It’s called Aurora.
