Easter Sunday
Today isn’t just a date on the calendar.
It’s not just a tradition or a holiday.
It’s the axis of eternity.
Two thousand years ago, the impossible happened.
Not in myth, not in metaphor — but in time, in flesh, in blood, and in divine glory.
The Son of God rose.
And everything changed.
From Cross to Crown
Jesus Christ didn’t just die — He conquered death.
He didn’t just suffer — He fulfilled prophecy.
He didn’t just rise — He shattered the grip of sin forever.
“He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.”
— Matthew 28:6 (NKJV)
What began on a bloody hill called Golgotha didn’t end in a tomb.
It ended with a stone rolled away.
It ended with grave clothes folded.
It ended with angels proclaiming what the world had never heard before:
Death has lost. Life has won.
But this wasn’t just for Him.
It was for you.
For me.
For all of us who believe.
The Fire of Resurrection Still Burns
The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead isn’t locked in history.
He didn’t retire after the first century.
He didn’t go quiet after the last apostle died.
“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you,
He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”
— Romans 8:11 (NKJV)
This is not a passive gospel.
It’s not a philosophy.
It’s power — raw, righteous, holy power — that breaks chains, delivers souls, and resurrects dead hearts in every generation.
We live in a world obsessed with artificial resurrection — reviving dead brands, dead systems, dead fame.
But only Jesus can resurrect what actually matters: the soul.
The Divine Trinity: One God, Three Persons, All Glorious
Let us be clear: Today we worship not just Jesus the man, but the eternal Jesus Christ — the Son of the Living God.
And He is one with the Father, and one with the Holy Spirit.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
— Matthew 28:19 (NKJV)
Three in One. The Holy Trinity.
- The Father, who so loved the world He gave.
- The Son, who stepped into time to redeem.
- The Spirit, who remains to empower and convict.
It was the divine will of the Father that sent the Son.
It was the obedience of the Son that made the cross a bridge instead of a grave.
And it is the indwelling of the Spirit that makes resurrection personal for us — today.
Why the Resurrection Still Matters in 2025
Because hope isn’t trending — it’s eternal.
Because truth isn’t voted in — it’s revealed.
Because power doesn’t come from man — it comes from the throne of Heaven.
When governments lie, Jesus still reigns.
When the world grows darker, the empty tomb still shines.
When technology tries to replace God, the Spirit whispers louder than the algorithms.
Easter is not nostalgia.
It’s a supernatural checkpoint — a sacred reminder that no matter how broken things seem, resurrection is still possible.
Your past can’t hold you.
Your shame can’t bind you.
Your failures can’t define you.
Why?
Because the stone was rolled away.
Let These Scriptures Speak Today
- “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.”
— John 11:25 - “For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:3–4 - “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
— 1 Peter 1:3 - “If Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins!”
— 1 Corinthians 15:17
But He is risen — so our faith is alive.
Closing Prayer: A Cry of Gratitude and Fire
Heavenly Father,
Today we bow in awe before the greatest act in all of history — the resurrection of Your Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ.
You didn’t leave Him in the tomb. You didn’t let death have the final word.
And because of that, we have hope. We have peace. We have victory.
Lord Jesus, thank You for enduring the cross. For wearing the crown of thorns that we might wear a crown of life.
You are the Alpha and Omega. The Lamb and the Lion. The risen King.
No grave could hold You. No guard could stop You. No sin could stain You.
Holy Spirit, awaken in us the same fire that lit the early church.
Let resurrection power fill our hearts, our homes, our ministries, our words.
Burn away doubt. Silence fear. Empower us to live boldly, love deeply, and serve fearlessly.
And for every person reading this who feels buried — by life, by guilt, by grief —
Roll away the stone.
Call them out.
Speak their name like You spoke Lazarus’.
Resurrect the broken things in them, Lord.
Let this Easter not just be a memory — but a moment of resurrection in our own lives.
In the name of the Father,
the Son,
and the Holy Spirit,
we pray.
Amen.
He is Risen.
He is Lord.
He is coming again.
🕊️ Let this musing echo through your Sunday, your soul, and your calling.
