There are some weeks that feel heavier than others. And this past week was no different. Not because it broke us — but because it built us. Brick by brick. Line by line on a page no one else sees but you. And this was one of those weeks.
We hit milestones. Real ones that count. The kind most people overlook because they don’t come with headlines or applause — but they matter.
As you already know, we laid the foundation for A.G.E.N.C.Y. Not the vision — that’s been here for a while. Not the fire — that’s been burning since day one.
But the infrastructure — the bones of it — that’s where the real weight lives. Our official shield. The credential cards. A nationwide walkie-talkie communication network. The case file paperwork templates. The backbone of real investigation — not for show, but for service.
We are not vigilantes, and these aren’t just tools. They’re signals — signals that say we’re here, we’re organized, and we’re committed. This isn’t a group with good intentions and no follow-through — this is a tactical unit built for results. The visual identifiers that turn a concept into a unit. A tactical unit. A.G.E.N.C.Y. is no longer just an idea. It’s a presence. A name that stands for the voiceless — and one that refuses to be ignored.
We may have a real, official shield — a badge — and yes, that matters. In this line of work, credibility isn’t optional. But let’s make something very clear: we are not law enforcement. We never have been. And we never will impersonate it. That’s not who we are — and that’s not what we do.
A.G.E.N.C.Y. is a civilian investigative organization — a non-government body. But make no mistake: we are a real, legal, and documented force of purpose. And A.G.E.N.C.Y. was built for one mission, and one mission only — to solve cold cases involving the missing. Period.
Someday, sure — we might reach a level where retired or active law enforcement personnel become part of the team. Maybe A.G.E.N.C.Y. becomes an official extension of the justice system. But that’s later. This… this is now. And for now, we have what most don’t: Integrity. Structure. Identity. Purpose.
That shield — that badge — doesn’t make us cops. It makes us accountable. It tells the world we’re not anonymous keyboard detectives; we’re real people doing very real, serious work with real lives on the line. And that’s what matters.
REFLECTING ON THE STRUGGLE
This wasn’t a perfect week.
Business has been slow. Book sales are a trickle — not a flood.
We know why: no big ads, no marketing machine behind us.
Because right now? We pay the bills first — and we sacrifice spotlight for survival. And even with all the challenges, we’re still here, still moving forward, still giving everything we’ve got to the mission.
That’s why we’re grateful.
Grateful for the people who support us in the shadows.
Grateful for those who repost, comment, or even just pray.
Grateful for the few who believe before the crowd does.
Grateful for Medium finally recognizing me as an official author — a small win, but one we’ll take with thanks, even if it came late.
Because you don’t plant a tree and get fruit in the same season.
You water it. You wait and you wait.
You protect it from storms. And sometimes, you do without while doing it.
OUR GRATITUDE TO GOD
But through it all, we know one truth: We would be nothing without God.
Without Jesus Christ. Without the Holy Spirit that moves mountains when all we can do is whisper.
Everything we’ve built, every word written, and everything we’ve accomplished — no mission is impossible. And it’s all because of Him.
It’s because of the divine purpose that breathes through us when the world goes quiet.
Because of a calling that doesn’t come from fame, or profit, or applause.
It comes from the Kingdom.
And so we pause — not just to reflect… but to praise.
To praise Him for every unseen provision.
For every closed door that kept us safe.
For every open door that no man could shut.
And for the road ahead — because yes, there is more to come.
We believe that the next chapter will be even greater than the foundation we’ve laid.
More families will get answers. More lives will be honored. And more missing will be found.
And if you’re reading this — and you’re going through something…
If your week felt too heavy to carry,
If you’re tired of praying and seeing nothing change,
If you’re hurting in silence or wondering if God still hears you — He does.
And He’s not done with you.
Cry out to Him.
Talk to Him like you would a trusted friend.
Lay it all down — the pain, the confusion, the pressure, the fear.
You don’t need fancy words. You don’t need to clean yourself up first. You just need to go to him.
“The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.” — Psalm 145:18
“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” — Jeremiah 33:3
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
You are not alone in this world. And you don’t have to carry it alone.
The same God who helped us build A.G.E.N.C.Y. —
The same God who sustained us when everything was uncertain —
Is the same God who sees you right now.
Let Him into the mess.
Let Him into the decisions.
Let Him into your next move.
Because once you let Him in, no mission will ever be impossible again.
“Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.” — 2 Chronicles 15:7
“Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.” — Proverbs 16:3
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” — Galatians 6:9
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped.” — Psalm 28:7
“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3
PRAYER FOR THE ROAD AHEAD
Heavenly Father,
We come before You with full hearts and tired hands, knowing that everything we’ve built, everything we’ve written, and everything we’ve endured would mean nothing without Your grace. You have been our foundation, our compass, and our covering — even when we didn’t see it.
Thank You for giving us vision when resources were low, and endurance when the burden felt too heavy. Thank You for the people You’ve brought into our lives — those who stand with us, those who believe in this mission, and even those who challenge us to dig deeper into Your will.
Lord Jesus,
We place A.G.E.N.C.Y. into Your hands again — not as an idea, but as a living mission born from purpose, grit, and unwavering faith. Guide our hands as we write case files, publish truth, and seek justice for those long forgotten. Walk beside us when the roads feel empty. Be our voice when we speak to power. And remind us that no victory is ever ours — it belongs to You.
Holy Spirit,
Move through our words, our work, and our witness. Let every badge handed out carry not just authority, but divine intention. Let every missing person’s name become a rallying cry in heaven. Fill our team with discernment, protect our minds from pride, and make every step we take resound with Your eternal purpose.
For those who feel unseen, remind them You still see.
For those who feel unworthy, remind them the Cross was already enough.
For those who are waiting for their own mission, show them that all it takes is a willing heart.
We do not do this for applause.
We do not do this for status.
We do it because You asked us to go. And so we go.
Let every effort become an echo of Your justice. Let every day forward be sealed in obedience.
And may we never forget that the throne belongs to You, not us.
We are just servants — willing, surrendered, and relentless.
In Jesus’ mighty name we pray,
Amen.
WE WILL NEVER COME CLOSE TO DONE YET
Some weeks feel like construction sites — loud, messy, exhausting. But if you look closely, the foundation is taking shape. Credentials finalized. The shield is forged. Name badges printed. Templates locked in. A nationwide walkie-talkie network, private and operational. And while the world spins oblivious, we keep carving our path — not for applause, not for validation, but for something far more permanent: Impact. Quiet. Deliberate. Unshakable.
Because when the noise fades and the lights dim, the only thing that matters is what gets done. And we got it done.
This isn’t easy. None of it. Not the Corporation. Not The Realist Juggernaut, not Orion Network, not TRP, and definitely not A.G.E.N.C.Y. The way it all had to come together — the time, the weight, the cost — it’s not something you can explain in a pitch deck or a social media post.
The burden of this mission isn’t carried in headlines or press releases. It lives in the hours no one sees — in the quiet tension of hard decisions, in the moments we question if the system even wants the missing to be found, and in some of the long nights we lie awake, thinking about the ones still out there… waiting.
That’s why we do what we do.
People deserve the truth. The missing deserve to be found — if they can even be found. Because the missing don’t have time for delays. They don’t get press conferences anymore. They don’t get parades. And they sure as hell don’t get justice on autopilot.
So we carry it. Because we aren’t wired for silence.
We are builders. Servants of truth. We are a movement stitched together by grit, grace, and the kind of faith that doesn’t flinch. We do what we do because somebody has to — and God trusted us enough to say, “Go.” And so we did.
We don’t mark progress with noise. We mark it with proof. And if this past week proved anything — it’s that A.G.E.N.C.Y. is not a dream anymore. It’s structure. It’s movement. It’s mission.
We’re just getting started.

It should be obvious to anyone who reads your blog that you work hard at what you do, John. It is wonderful that you know where your power comes from. I know that things can get difficult at times but the same God who brought many believers through difficulties will bring us through them in the end. It is encouraging to know that even though some of your weeks feel heavy that you are thankful to God. Thank you for sharing those Bible verses. They are always so helpful to me as well. You are in my prayers and may God continue to bless your efforts!
Thank you so much, Chris — your words really mean a lot.
I never take the weight of this work lightly. It’s a responsibility, and there are days when the load is real. But you’re absolutely right — the same God who stood with Daniel in the lion’s den and walked with Shadrach in the fire still holds steady today. That truth is what keeps me anchored when the weeks feel heavier than usual.
I’m deeply thankful that the verses I shared spoke to you. Scripture doesn’t just inspire — it stabilizes. And when the world feels like it’s shifting faster than we can catch up, that’s exactly what we need.
Thank you again for your encouragement, and especially for your prayers. That support is priceless. May God bless you too, Chris — and strengthen all of us to keep going with eyes open and hearts steady. 🙏🏼😎
You’re welcome, John, and thank you for the thoughtful reply. “Stabilizing” is a perfect word for scripture. If we build our houses on the Rock, we won’t easily be moved.
Keep up the good work.
Thank you very much, Michael — I really appreciate that. We definitely will keep pushing.😎
When I read this, John, that you’re working to find missing persons, I immediately thought of Elizabeth Smart. I recently watched her documentary about the time she was missing, and how important it was that her family never gave up trying to find her.
Your work with A.G.E.N.C.Y. is VERY important!
Thank you very much, Sheila — I truly appreciate that.
Elizabeth Smart’s story is one of the clearest examples of why we do what we do. Her rescue wasn’t just a miracle — it was the result of relentless belief, tireless advocacy, and a refusal to accept silence as the final answer.
That same spirit is what drives A.G.E.N.C.Y. We may not have the spotlight or the backing of major institutions, but we have something they often lack: consistency, fire, and an unwavering commitment to never stop looking. The road ahead won’t be easy — especially when it comes to getting local law enforcement to share their cold cases. But we’re prepared for that.
Every missing person deserves to be found — and every family deserves answers. Hopefully, we can provide that for some.
Yes, every bit of work you do matters, John.
For many years of my life, from the time I was a teenager, I have said a near daily prayer for those who have been held captive. I don’t know why, other than a friend of a friend was abducted and killed in our small town, and her case made such an impression on my mother and me. Thus, I have always been torn and emotional over missing persons. I never knew what I would do if anyone in my family disappeared without a trace. I don’t know how people live without knowing where their loved ones are.
Sheila, thank you so much for sharing that — your words carry the kind of weight only someone who truly understands this pain can express. That daily prayer you’ve said all these years… it matters more than most people realize. It creates a ripple — a quiet but powerful force that pushes back against the darkness so many families live with.
That story from your town, and the impression it left on both you and your mother — that’s the kind of moment that shapes people. And I have no doubt your prayers have covered more lives than you’ll ever know. You’re not just emotional over missing persons — you’ve been an advocate in spirit long before our mission ever existed. And people like you remind us why we keep doing what we do.
Also, thank you for sharing the Musing. That’s always deeply appreciated. Every share absolutely makes a difference — and we truly value you standing with us.
Thanks again, Sheila. I hope you have a great day. 🙏😎
Your very welcome, John. I so love how you put that, about prayers creating a ripple. Ah!
John, what a great creation. Hopefully you’ll bring closure to many broken-hearted loved ones. I’m sure God is pleased by your intent and bold witness.
Congrats on getting accepted at Medium! That’s great! 😎👍
Thank you so much, Darryl — that truly means a lot.
We don’t take this calling lightly. If even one family gets answers — if even one missing person’s story gets heard because of what we’re building — then it’s worth every ounce of effort. And yes, God gets all the credit. We’re just following the fire He lit in us.
Appreciate the support on Medium too — it took a while, but it’s one more door open. 😎
