Five-Men Network Ran a Coordinated Online Cult That Terrorized Children Across the Country
The Justice Department has unsealed an indictment revealing one of the most disturbing digital exploitation networks uncovered in recent years — a multi-state operation where five defendants allegedly built and operated an online cult dedicated to coercing, degrading, and breaking minors for entertainment and leverage.
The case centers around “Greggy’s Cult,” an organized group that used Discord servers and gaming platforms to hunt for vulnerable young victims, lure them into video calls, and force them into acts designed to humiliate, traumatize, and enslave them psychologically.
The indicted defendants — Hector Bermudez (Queens, NY), Zachary Dosch (Albuquerque, NM), Rumaldo Valdez (Honolulu, HI), David Brilhante (San Diego, CA), and Camden Rodriguez (Longmont, CO) — were arrested nationwide and will be arraigned in the Eastern District of New York.
This wasn’t a random collection of predators.
This was a structured network.
A hierarchy.
A coordinated digital cult that relied on intimidation, manipulation, and the weaponization of online platforms.
Federal officials didn’t mince words. The Attorney General called the crimes “unspeakable.” FBI leadership described the network as a “violent online operation.” Prosecutors framed it as an enterprise built on exploitation, coercion, and the systematic breaking of victims’ autonomy.
The Operation — Manipulation, Threats, and Exploitation on Command
According to the indictment, Greggy’s Cult operated for more than a year, targeting minors on Discord, Roblox, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The group’s playbook was simple and brutal:
- Locate vulnerable kids in public online spaces.
- Lure them into private calls.
- Issue commands — sexual, degrading, or self-harm related.
- Record everything.
- Share the material like currency.
- Use psychological pressure and threats to keep victims compliant.

Demands that victims write the names of cult members on their bodies.

The indictment describes deliberate, repeated attempts to push minors toward self-harm — all while capturing images to use as leverage.
And they didn’t stop with children.
Adults were targeted too, and in those cases the network used framing, digital manipulation, and in some instances malware to gain control and extort compliance.
This wasn’t just exploitation.
It was psychological warfare carried out through screens.
A Lineage of Digital Abuse Networks
The indictment also notes that Greggy’s Cult predates other notorious online extortion groups, including the network known as 764, and that several figures within 764 were previously involved with Greggy’s Cult before branching out.
These groups weren’t isolated.
They overlapped.
They recruited from each other.
They shared victims, tactics, and leverage.
What emerges is a picture of a growing ecosystem of coordinated online abuse collectives — networks built on anonymity, fear, and the belief that hiding behind a keyboard grants untouchable power.

those days are ending.

The Justice Department has emphasized that online spaces — gaming platforms, chat servers, social apps — have become hunting grounds for predators who exploit digital architecture to conceal their crimes.
Federal leadership delivered a unified message:
Online anonymity doesn’t make someone unreachable.
Digital complexity doesn’t make a case untraceable.
And no platform should imagine itself exempt from scrutiny once children are harmed on it.
This case is a direct strike at the model of hidden online networks that rely on panic, silence, and psychological manipulation to keep victims trapped.
Parents and guardians are being urged to speak openly with their children about digital dangers — not as a scare tactic, but as a shield. These cases don’t emerge from dark web forums alone. Many start in the most ordinary places: gaming chats, public Discord channels, and seemingly harmless youth communities.

The indictment paints a picture of deliberate cruelty.
Victims manipulated into hurting themselves.

Project Safe Childhood sounds like it’s doing a great job. These guys sound almost as sick as the guy from Jacksonville who got over 200 years for his insane crimes. I’m beginning to wonder how in the world we are going to have room in our prisons for all of the sex offenders besides those who commit other crimes. It is sad that so many are in bondage to this kind of depravity.
