A federal prosecution in Baltimore has brought forward a detailed account of organized online exploitation tied to a nihilistic violent extremist network operating through digital channels. The case outlines a sustained pattern of coercion, abuse, and intimidation directed at minors, executed through internet-based communication systems and reinforced through network-level participation.
Erik Lee Madison, 20, of Halethorpe, Maryland, pleaded guilty in federal court to sexual exploitation of a child and cyberstalking. The admissions confirm that Madison targeted and exploited at least 10 minor female victims over a one-year period, using online platforms to initiate contact, establish control, and enforce compliance through escalating threats.
According to court records, Madison’s activity spanned from November 2024 through November 2025 and was conducted as part of his involvement with “764,” identified by federal authorities as a criminal organization composed of nihilistic violent extremists. Within that framework, Madison participated in the distribution and consumption of extreme content, including gore media and child sexual abuse material, while actively engaging in direct victim exploitation.
The operational method followed a structured progression. Victims were identified and approached through online communication platforms, where manipulation tactics were used to gain trust and isolate them. Once contact was established, Madison coerced victims into producing and streaming sexually explicit material. The coercion escalated to forced acts of self-harm, including cutting with razors and carving words or symbols into their bodies. Victims were also directed to use their blood to write messages, including references to Madison’s identifiers, and transmit those images or streams back to him.
The pattern did not stop at initial compliance. The recorded material became a control mechanism. Madison leveraged that content to maintain dominance over the victims, issuing threats to disseminate explicit images, expose personal information, and initiate targeted harassment against both the victims and their families. These threats included doxing and swatting, extending the coercion beyond the individual and into their immediate environment, reinforcing isolation and fear.
The conduct expanded into additional forms of compelled behavior. Victims were pressured to harm animals and engage in increasingly severe acts designed to deepen psychological control and ensure continued submission. The structure of the abuse reflects a deliberate escalation model, where each stage increases dependency while reducing the likelihood of resistance or reporting.
Investigators determined that members of “764” operate through widely accessible online platforms, using them as distribution channels for extreme content and as direct pipelines for victim targeting. The network facilitates coordinated exploitation, where material is shared, reinforced, and weaponized across participants. This structure enables repetition of the same coercion model across multiple victims and jurisdictions.
Federal authorities classify this activity within the broader category of nihilistic violent extremist threats, where the primary objective is not ideological persuasion but the execution of harm, control, and disruption. The targeting of minors is a core component of that model, exploiting accessibility and vulnerability within digital environments.
Madison faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years and a maximum of 30 years in federal prison for sexual exploitation of a minor. He also faces up to 10 years for cyberstalking. Sentencing is scheduled for June 16 in federal court.
The investigation was conducted by the FBI Baltimore Field Office, with coordination from the Anne Arundel County Police Department and the Baltimore County Police Department. The case was brought under the Department of Justice’s Project Safe Childhood initiative, which integrates federal, state, and local resources to identify offenders, dismantle exploitation structures, and recover victims.
The case establishes a clear operational model: digital access, psychological manipulation, recorded compliance, and threat-based enforcement. It reflects a scalable system of abuse that extends beyond a single offender and into network-supported activity. The disruption of that system requires continued identification of participants, forensic tracking of digital activity, and sustained prosecution across all levels of involvement.

Almost as sad as the impact these crimes had on 10 minor females is the fact that this young man learned how to do this from someone. It is an evil thing that anyone is involved in “nihilistic violent extremist threats” causing young people to do awful things. I’m glad this person has been caught and I wish the best for his victims. I hope he gets a sentence that fits his crimes and that he, somehow by the grace of God, can come out of prison as a different kind of person.
Thank you for this article.
You’re very welcome, Chris, and I appreciate the thought you put into that.
What you pointed out about learned behavior is important. Cases like this rarely exist in isolation. Whether it comes from exposure to online networks, influence from others, or immersion in harmful content, there is often a pathway that leads to that kind of conduct. That doesn’t lessen responsibility, but it does highlight how these environments can shape behavior over time.
The impact on the victims is the central issue, and the priority remains accountability and protection moving forward. The court will ultimately determine the sentence based on the full scope of the evidence and the severity of the offenses.
Your perspective on the possibility of change is noted. That outcome depends on the individual and what they choose to do with the consequences they face.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read and comment, Chris. I hope all is well and I hope you have a great night. 😎
You’re welcome, John, and thank you for this thoughtful reply. As you stated, the outcome for the individual is dependent on their willingness to face their crimes and be able to see they are in serious need of help. I pray that the right people cross this young man’s path and that he comes to understand he is responsible for his crimes but that he may have time left to do something good with his life.
As you also stated, the impact on the victims is the central issue. I pray that they get the help they need and that what has happened to them does not determine the rest of their lives.
