$50,000 REWARD ANNOUNCED IN UNSOLVED KILLING OF 12-YEAR-OLD ALIZA SPENCER IN BINGHAMTON

Federal and local authorities have announced a $50,000 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of those responsible for the killing of 12-year-old Aliza Spencer, a case that remains unresolved more than three years after the fatal shooting in Binghamton, New York.

The reward was confirmed by Craig Tremaroli, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Albany Field Office, alongside Cory Minor, Assistant Chief of the Binghamton Police Department, as part of an intensified effort to generate new leads and re-engage public awareness in the case.

Aliza Spencer was killed on April 21, 2022, after being struck in the chest by a bullet while walking on a sidewalk near her home on Bigelow Street. She was with her father and brother at the time of the shooting. The incident occurred in a residential area, placing the event within a community setting where no direct confrontation involving the victim has been established.

Investigators have treated the case as a targeted or misdirected act of violence, with ongoing analysis focused on the origin of the gunfire, the trajectory of the shot, and the circumstances surrounding the discharge.
