A Georgia man who raped three teenage girls he met through social media has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison, federal authorities announced Tuesday.
Jacques Jackson, 30, of Atlanta, was sentenced on January 23, 2026, by U.S. District Judge Thomas W. Thrash, Jr. The sentence includes 25 years in federal custody followed by 10 years of supervised release. Jackson pleaded guilty on May 8, 2025, to one count of interstate transportation of a minor to engage in unlawful sex and two counts of enticing minors to engage in unlawful sex. He has remained in custody since his arrest in June 2022.
According to court records, law enforcement first encountered Jackson in August 2018 in Decatur, Georgia, after DeKalb County police officers rescued a 15-year-old victim. The minor sought help from a bystander at a grocery store, leading officers to intervene. Jackson admitted to meeting the victim on Instagram, knowing she was 15 years old, blackmailing her to coerce travel across state lines, physically assaulting her, destroying her cell phone, and raping her multiple times. Despite the arrest, Jackson was later released on bond.
On October 1, 2021, the Elberton Police Department received a report of a missing 15-year-old girl. Investigators determined that the minor had communicated with Jackson using her younger brother’s phone. Authorities discovered that Jackson and the victim exchanged sexually explicit videos. The victim later reported that Jackson sent an Uber to transport her, brought her to a motel, and raped her multiple times while knowing her age.
After months of searching, federal agents located Jackson in June 2022 traveling west from Atlanta on a Greyhound bus. He was arrested on June 8, 2022, at a bus station in Big Spring, Texas. At the time of his arrest, Jackson was armed, carrying approximately $3,500 in cash, and accompanied by a runaway minor. That victim told investigators she met Jackson on Instagram, disclosed her age, and was raped multiple times at an Atlanta-area hotel. Investigators also determined that Jackson recorded at least one sexual assault.
The investigation further linked Jackson to an unsolved forcible rape of a 15-year-old girl in Atlanta in July 2015. DNA evidence collected from that assault matched Jackson following his 2018 arrest, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation with assistance from the DeKalb County Police Department, Baton Rouge Police Department, Big Spring Police Department, Elberton Police Department, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. The prosecution was handled by federal prosecutors assigned to the Northern District of Georgia.

Hopefully it’s true what they say about rapists in prison, they get raped a lot.
That’s a reaction a lot of people have when they hear about crimes like this. It’s a terrible crime, and the anger behind those responses is absolutely understandable. Thanks again, Michael. I hope all is well, and I hope you have a great day. 😎
This guy needs to be off of the streets for a long while. These “events” will cause potential harm to these young girls for years to come. We can’t risk having him out there. The sentence seems right for rape crimes like these.
I wish the best for these young girls and I hope that this predator finds his way out of the “nasty dungeon” (symbolizing spiritual decay and misery of despair) that the main character finds his way out of in The Pilgrim’s Progress.
Thank you for today’s articles, John. I hope you have a great evening and I wish you and yours God’s blessings! 🙂
You’re very welcome, Chris — that’s a serious and compassionate response. You’re right that crimes like these don’t end with sentencing; the harm can echo for years in the lives of the victims. Protecting others from further harm has to remain the priority in cases like this.
I also understand the reference you made. Accountability, separation from society, and the possibility of reckoning are not mutually exclusive ideas, but the immediate responsibility is safety and justice for those who were harmed.
Thank you very much, Chris. I appreciate you taking the time to engage thoughtfully with the article and for the care you expressed toward the victims. I wish you a peaceful evening as well and a great day ahead. 😎
You’re welcome, John, and thank you for this thoughtful reply. Indeed, the immediate responsibility is safety and justice for those who were harmed. Thank you for your kind words and I hope you have a great day ahead as well! 🙂
