Indianapolis Fugitive Gregory Henderson Jr. Added to FBI’s Ten Most Wanted List With Up to $1 Million Reward

Indianapolis, Indiana — August 11, 2026 — The FBI has added Indianapolis fugitive Gregory Henderson Jr. to its Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list and increased the reward for information leading to his arrest from $5,000 to as much as $1 million.

Henderson became the 542nd fugitive added to the list since it was established in March 1950.

FBI Indianapolis Special Agent in Charge Timothy J. O’Malley and U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana Tom Wheeler announced the addition on Tuesday.

Henderson is one of 31 individuals indicted in the Southern District of Indiana following an investigation into alleged international drug trafficking, money laundering and dogfighting activity in Central Indiana.

Federal authorities accuse Henderson of leading a violent neighborhood-based gang in Indianapolis that the FBI says is affiliated with the Gangster Disciples and of operating a narcotics-distribution network believed to have received its supply from the Sinaloa Cartel.

The alleged network distributed methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl throughout Indianapolis and other parts of the Midwest.

Henderson is also accused of participating in a dogfighting enterprise responsible for severe abuse and the deaths of numerous dogs.

The FBI’s current wanted poster lists Henderson as wanted for conspiracy to possess controlled substances with intent to distribute and conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, conspiracy to launder monetary instruments, and conspiracy to engage in an animal-fighting venture.

Those charges remain allegations and have not been proven in court.

A federal arrest warrant connected to the case was issued in the Southern District of Indiana on August 25, 2023. Henderson avoided arrest during a large-scale enforcement operation against the organization on August 31, 2023, and has remained a fugitive since that time.

The FBI’s wanted poster also references a federal arrest warrant issued on September 17, 2025, involving the controlled-substance, money-laundering and animal-fighting conspiracy charges.

The FBI did not explain the difference between the two federal arrest-warrant dates.

O’Malley said the passage of time has not reduced the FBI’s commitment to locating Henderson. He called on members of the public to provide information that could lead authorities to him.

The FBI considers Henderson armed and dangerous. Members of the public should not approach or attempt to apprehend him.

Wheeler said increasing the reward from $5,000 to $1 million reflects the urgency of locating Henderson and the threat federal authorities believe he presents through his alleged connections to violent organizations and cartel-linked drug trafficking.

Wheeler said the victims, communities affected by narcotics distribution and dogs subjected to abuse deserve accountability through the court process.

Henderson was born on August 9, 1980, in Indianapolis. He is an American citizen with brown hair and brown eyes.

The FBI describes Henderson as a Black male standing between 6 feet 1 inch and 6 feet 2 inches tall. His weight may range from approximately 160 to 220 pounds.

He has a scar on his chin and a tattoo on his back.

Henderson may use the aliases “Grego,” “Whitey,” Corree Williams and Gregory Darnell Henderson Jr.

Federal authorities say Henderson has ties to Indianapolis; Chicago, Illinois; Detroit, Michigan; Dayton and Cincinnati, Ohio; Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky; and St. Louis, Missouri.

The range of geographic ties extends across several major Midwestern transportation and distribution centers. The FBI has not stated that Henderson is currently located in any specific city or state.

The agency has not publicly disclosed whether Henderson may have traveled outside the United States, what vehicle he may be using or whether he is believed to be receiving assistance while avoiding arrest.

The investigation involved the FBI and multiple law enforcement partners, including the U.S. Department of Agriculture Office of Inspector General, Drug Enforcement Administration, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation, Indiana Gaming Commission and Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

The FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list is used to increase national and international awareness of fugitives whose capture may benefit from widespread public recognition.

Of the 542 fugitives placed on the list since 1950, 502 have been apprehended or located. Citizen cooperation directly contributed to the capture or location of 164 fugitives.

The reward offer is for as much as $1 million for information leading to Henderson’s arrest. Payment is subject to the FBI’s conditions and evaluation of the information provided.

Anyone who sees Henderson should avoid approaching him and contact law enforcement immediately.
