Ukraine’s military intelligence agency — HUR (Main Directorate of Intelligence) — has gained access to Russian-controlled government servers in occupied Crimea, exposing direct documentation of the forced deportation of Ukrainian children. What was once denied or deflected has now been pulled from the enemy’s own infrastructure.
And the contents are harrowing.

- Full identity profiles of Ukrainian children taken from occupied zones

- Relocation addresses detailing where children were moved

The files appear to originate from government systems in the Simferopol district — the administrative hub of Crimea, which was annexed by Russia in 2014 but remains internationally recognized as Ukrainian territory.

The operation — which Ukraine has not detailed technically — appears to have been supported by Kiberkorpus, a pro-Ukrainian hacker group that describes itself as part of HUR’s cyber division. The group posted screenshots, file hashes, and deployment logs on Telegram shortly after the breach.
Formed by civilian IT professionals in the early phase of the war, Kiberkorpus (Cybercorps) has claimed prior responsibility for:

While HUR hasn’t officially confirmed their involvement, Kiberkorpus’ timeline, targets, and tone align closely with military-grade cyber ops previously carried out under HUR’s umbrella — often in tandem with BO Team and Blackjack, two other groups suspected to have state connections.

Ukraine’s official Children of War database lists over 19,500 children confirmed abducted or deported to Russia or Russian-occupied territories. But officials warn the real number could be much higher, especially in regions without centralized recordkeeping or access to liberated survivors.

- Russian officials are issuing legal guardianship assignments to non-family citizens
